L.A. politician found guilty of corruption

Democratic City Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas has been found guilty in the United States District Court of seven felonies, including conspiracy, bribery, and fraud.

Finland to become 31st member of NATO

Turkey’s parliament approved Finland’s NATO application on Thursday, making it the 31st nation in the Western defense alliance.

Gwyneth Paltrow wins ski crash trial

A jury sided in favor of actress Gwyneth Paltrow on Thursday, ruling that she was not to blame for a 2016 skiing accident involving a retired Utah ophthalmologist who suffered broken ribs and a concussion as a result of the fall.

San Jose police union exec. charged with importing fentanyl and attempting to distribute them
