Trees uprooted by Typhoon Paka caused extensive damage to this housing unit on Naval Base Marianas, in Guam, 18 December. The typhoon hit the island 16 December with average sustained winds of 175 mph. One wind gust of 236 mph was recorded at Anderson Air Force Base as the strongest ever recorded on earth.
