Josh Allen accounted for two touchdowns and Tyler Bass kicked a tiebreaking 39-yard field goal to help the Buffalo Bills post a 20-17 victory over the host Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Bass’ boot went through the uprights with 1:54 remaining as the Bills (7-6) won for just the third time in their past seven contests. James Cook had a receiving touchdown and 141 scrimmage yards (83 receiving, 58 rushing) for Buffalo. Allen completed 23 of 42 passes for 233 yards with an interception.
Patrick Mahomes completed 25 of 43 passes for 271 yards, one touchdown and one interception as the Chiefs (8-5) lost for the fourth time in six games. Travis Kelce had 83 yards on six receptions, Rashee Rice had seven catches for 72 yards and a score and Jerick McKinnon rushed for a touchdown.
The Chiefs appeared to go ahead on a 49-yard passing touchdown with 1:12 left when Mahomes hit Kelce for 24 yards and the star tight end passed the ball laterally to Kadarius Toney, who ran the final 25 yards. But the score was nullified because Toney lined up in the neutral zone.
After Kansas City turned the ball over on downs with 55 seconds left, Mahomes was vehemently angry on the sideline, slammed his helmet on the ground and was yelling non-stop.
Ravens 37, Rams 31 (OT)
Tylan Wallace returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown in overtime to give Baltimore the win over visiting Los Angeles.
Lamar Jackson passed for 316 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 70 yards for the Ravens (10-3), who have won seven of eight games. Odell Beckham Jr. caught four passes for 97 yards and a touchdown for Baltimore.
Matthew Stafford threw for 294 yards and three touchdowns and Kyren Williams rushed for 114 yards on 25 carries for the Rams (6-7), who had won three in a row. Both teams went three-and-out on their opening drives of overtime before Wallace’s game-ending touchdown.
Cowboys 33, Eagles 13
Dak Prescott threw for 271 yards and two touchdowns, Brandon Aubrey converted several extra-long field goals and Dallas got revenge on NFC East rival Philadelphia with a victory in Arlington, Texas.
Prescott completed 24 of 39 throws to help the Cowboys (10-3) win their fifth straight. They have not lost since the Eagles beat them 28-23 in Philadelphia on Nov. 5. Aubrey hit from 60, 59, 45 and 50 yards, becoming the first kicker in NFL history to make two field goals of 59 yards or longer in one game.
Jalen Hurts finished 18-of-27 passing for 197 yards for the Eagles (10-3), with A.J. Brown accounting for nine catches and 94 yards. Philadelphia lost three fumbles and committed 10 penalties for 95 yards in its second straight loss.
Buccaneers 29, Falcons 25
Baker Mayfield tossed an 11-yard scoring pass to Cade Otton with 31 seconds remaining to give Tampa Bay an AFC South win over host Atlanta.
Mayfield passed for 144 yards and two touchdowns and also rushed for a score as Tampa Bay (6-7) won its second straight game. Rachaad White rushed for 102 yards and caught a touchdown pass, and Antoine Winfield Jr. delivered a strip-sack that led to a safety for the Buccaneers.
Desmond Ridder passed for 347 yards, one touchdown and one interception and also rushed for a score for the Falcons (6-7). Bijan Robinson rushed for a touchdown, Kyle Pitts had a scoring catch and Drake London had 10 receptions for 172 yards for Atlanta.
Bears 28, Lions 13
Justin Fields passed for a touchdown and ran for another as host Chicago upset NFC North-leading Detroit.
Fields passed for 223 yards and rushed for 58 yards on 12 carries for Chicago (5-8), which avenged a road loss to Detroit. D.J. Moore caught six passes for 68 yards and also had a 16-yard rushing touchdown for the Bears.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff was limited to 161 yards and one touchdown and was intercepted twice. Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Detroit (9-4).
Bengals 34, Colts 14
Jake Browning found Chase Brown for a screen pass that turned into a 54-yard touchdown before connecting with Tanner Hudson for another score as Cincinnati beat visiting Indianapolis.
Browning, who has filled in since Joe Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury in Baltimore on Nov. 16, finished 18-for-24 for 275 yards and one interception along with a rushing score. Joe Mixon ran for 79 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries as the Bengals (7-6) won their second straight game.
Gardner Minshew II finished 26-of-39 passing for 240 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Colts (7-6), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Browns 31, Jaguars 27
Joe Flacco threw three touchdown passes and host Cleveland defeated Jacksonville.
Flacco went 26-of-45 passing for 311 yards. Two of his scoring strikes went to David Njoku in the first half. Cleveland’s defense picked off Trevor Lawrence three times, and the Jaguars lost a fumble. The Browns (8-5) turned one from each category into second-half scores, the latter a 41-yard scoring pass to David Bell.
Lawrence, playing less than a week after sustaining a high ankle sprain of his right foot, completed 28 of 50 throws for 257 yards and three touchdowns. His pass to Parker Washington with 8:52 left in the game pulled the Jaguars (8-5) within 28-21, but the Browns put the game away on Dustin Hopkins’ 55-yard field goal.
Saints 28, Panthers 6
Derek Carr threw two touchdown passes and New Orleans ended a three-game losing streak by beating visiting Carolina.
Carr’s touchdown passes came in the fourth quarter, when he threw for 82 of his 119 yards as the Saints (6-7) pulled away late.
The Panthers (1-12) rushed for 204 yards as Chuba Hubbard had 87 and Miles Sanders had 74, but Bryce Young completed just 13 of 36 passes for 137 yards.
Jets 30, Texans 7
Zach Wilson completed 27 of 36 passes for a season-high 301 yards and two touchdowns in his return to the starting quarterback job, helping New York snap a five-game losing streak with a victory over Houston in East Rutherford, N.J.
Playing through a drenching rain, Wilson helped the Jets (5-8) score more than one offensive touchdown in a game for the first time since Week 5. Wilson was reinstalled as the No. 1 quarterback after a two-week benching in favor of Tim Boyle. Garrett Wilson caught nine passes for 108 yards and Breece Hall had eight receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown while adding 40 rushing yards for New York.
The Texans (7-6) lost star quarterback C.J. Stroud late in the fourth quarter. He was hit after a throw and his head snapped back as he went to the ground. The team later said he entered concussion protocol. Stroud was 10-of-23 passing for 91 yards.
Vikings 3, Raiders 0
Greg Joseph made a 36-yard field goal with 1:57 remaining to lift Minnesota to a win over host Las Vegas.
Joseph’s kick proved to be enough for the Vikings (7-6). Minnesota’s defense did the rest, limiting the Raiders to 202 total yards and stuffing 11 of 14 third-down opportunities. Aidan O’Connell completed 21 of 32 passes for 171 yards and an interception for Las Vegas (5-8).
Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson sustained a chest injury in the first half and did not return. Jefferson was taken to a hospital in the second half for precautionary reasons.
49ers 28, Seahawks 16
Deebo Samuel had a 54-yard touchdown reception and also rushed for a score as San Francisco defeated NFC West rival Seattle in Santa Clara, Calif.
Christian McCaffrey rushed 16 times for 145 yards for the 49ers (10-3), who won their fifth consecutive game. Brock Purdy was 19-of-27 passing for 368 yards and two touchdowns with one interception and Samuel collected seven receptions for 149 yards.
The Seahawks (6-7), who suffered their fourth loss in a row, played without starting quarterback Geno Smith, who suffered a groin injury in practice Thursday. Drew Lock replaced Smith and was 22 of 31 for 269 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Lock was sacked four times.
Broncos 24, Chargers 7
Russell Wilson threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns, and Denver’s suddenly ferocious defense knocked Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert out of the game in the first half of a win in Inglewood, Calif., that kept the Broncos in the AFC playoff hunt.
Wilson completed 21 of 33 passes with an interception. He gave the Broncos (7-6) a 17-0 lead with 5:55 left in the third quarter when he found Courtland Sutton for a 46-yard scoring strike.
After Austin Ekeler scored on a 3-yard run to pull the Chargers (5-8) within 17-7 with 10:37 remaining in the game, Denver chewed up nearly 7 1/2 minutes of clock on a game-clinching touchdown drive. Herbert was 9-for-17 for 96 yards with an interception when he left with a finger injury in the second quarter.
