Israel shoots down multiple rockets fired from the Gaza Strip. Sirens roared throughout the coastal city of Ashkelon on Thursday as two rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system. This comes after Israeli security forces killed nine members of a Palestinian jihad group sparking mass protests in the contested regions. Officials claim both rockets were destroyed mid-air and no injuries or deaths have been reported.
