WHO grants emergency approval to AstraZeneca vaccine

The World Health Organization has granted emergency approval to AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom announced on Monday the vaccine will be distributed globally through the COVAX program, aimed at stopping the pandemic.
