Vice President Mike Pence and Democrat nominee Sen. Kamala Harris went head-to-head for the first and only vice presidential debate with both sharing their goals for the American people under the next presidential term.
Vice President Mike Pence took aim at China during Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate. He defended President Trump’s “tough on China” approach and said the Trump administration plans to “hold China accountable for what they did to America.”
All eyes are on Salt Lake City as the two vice presidential candidates are set to take the debate stage. However, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced changes to the debate on Monday. This came after President Trump, First Lady Melania, several White House staffers and others tested positive for coronavirus.
With the first presidential debate between President Trump and Joe Biden in the rear view mirror, Mike Pence and Sen. Kamala Harris will now square off in the vice presidential debate.
