Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) recently released a new political ad, which takes a shot at Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden as well as the ongoing impeachment trial.

The Florida Republican launched the 30 second advertisement called “Biden Got Away With It” Tuesday, which is specifically airing on local television networks in Des Moines, Iowa.

In the video, the GOP lawmaker slams Democrats for “badly botching the impeachment charade” and spending so much time covering up for the former vice president.

The ad comes just before the Iowa caucuses are set to kick-off on February 3, 2020. According to a Monmouth University poll, Biden is slightly leading the pool of Democrat 2020 contenders with 23 percent of likely voters choosing the former vice president.

However, Sen. Bernie Sander (D-Vt.) came in a close second with 21 percent, followed by former Indian Mayor Pete Buttigieg who snatched 16 percent of likely voters. The close numbers suggests a tight race ahead of the Iowa caucuses as Sen. Scott attempts to tip the scales.
