The Florida Police Chiefs Association offered its first ever presidential endorsement to President Trump this week.

“On behalf of the Florida Police Chiefs Association, I am honored to announce our endorsement of President Donald J. Trump,” stated Chief Jeff Pearson.

President Trump has expressed his gratitude to the association for their support. On Twitter, the President stated he was honored to earn the first ever presidential endorsement from the organization.

In a phone call with the organization, he told the members he is looking forward to meeting with them in person. He went on to say he will never let them down.

“Especially in Florida, it means so much to me and I really appreciate it,” said the President. “You do a great job, really courageous people, and it’s an honor.”

Former state Attorney General Pam Bondi stepped in to accept the endorsement for President Trump in person.

“He believes in our law enforcement, our first responders and great military,” she stated. “That’s why this endorsement is so personal to him.”

According to the FPCA, the President has demonstrated his unwavering support for law enforcement, especially for the men and women who risk their lives to protect the peace.

“President Trump’s support of law enforcement is unmatched,” added Pearson. “He continues to support law enforcement by ensuring we have the tools, training and information that we need to protect our communities.”
