President Trump doubles down on his criticism of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

During a conference call with military members Thursday, the president said the court has made a lot of bad decisions, and has been a thorn in his administration’s side.

He added, judges are interfering with efforts to protect the border. His criticism escalated after a federal judge blocked his administration from refusing asylum to migrants who cross the border illegally.

The president called the actions a ‘shame’ and ‘disgrace.’

“This 9th circuit, everybody knows it, it’s totally out of control. What they’re doing, what they’re saying, their opinions are very unfair to our law enforcement. They’re very unfair to our military, and they’re very unfair most importantly to the people of our country because I’m keeping them safe.” -President Trump

In response to President Trump’s comments, Chief Justice John Roberts defended the 9th Circuit Court judge.

The president said he respects Justice Roberts, but said ‘common sense’ is needed to handle the 9th Circuit.
