On Monday, German officials said separate tests from French and Swedish labs confirmed their initial assessment of Navalny’s condition. He’s reportedly now able to leave his hospital bed and talk to his family as well as doctors.
Navalny was poisoned during his campaign trip to Siberia last month. So far, the Kremlin has refused to open an investigation into the poisoning, but Germany insists on a joint probe.
This past weekend, the Russian opposition won in several key regional elections amid ongoing protests against Russia’s government.
