A DNA test has confirmed that Hunter Biden is the father of a one-year-old child in Arkansas. The results of the test were submitted in a Wednesday court filing. They are part of a contentious child support suit, which was launched by the baby’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts.

Roberts initiated the filing in May after Hunter Biden allegedly stopped offering financial support for the child. Her legal team said they made repeated attempts to contact the former vice president’s son, but were unable to reach him.
Court documents showed the baby was born in August last year while Hunter was still dating Hallie Biden, the widow of his brother Beau. Hunter has denied that the child was his and publicly claimed he never had a relationship with Roberts.
Despite this, he agreed to submit to a paternity test last month.
“Like every single person that I’ve ever known, I’ve fallen and I’ve gotten up,” said Hunter Biden. “I’ve done estimable things and things that I regret.”
The mother’s legal team said she did not want the case to negatively impact Joe Biden’s campaign. They said Roberts “only wants this baby to get financial support from the baby’s father.”
Roberts is also asking Hunter Biden to pay for her legal fees and their child’s healthcare costs. Sources close to the former vice president’s son said Hunter is not expected to challenge the results.
The next hearing for the case is expected to take place in December and will reportedly delve into the amount of child support Hunter owes.
