A growing number of Americans across the nation are calling on Amazon to stop allowing the sale of an anti-police t-shirt on its site. The shirts come in multiple colors and include the words “Blue Lives Murder.”

The San Antonio Police Officers Association said the shirt is an insult to police officers and stirs up violence against them. The association is calling on Amazon to remove the shirts on behalf of all police officer and the people they serve as well as protect.

A Texas woman name Ceteka Perry, whose son is a police officer in Utah, said the t-shirt is a form of “hate speech.”

“I know they’re very much Black Lives Matter and that’s fine, they can have that be their agenda,” she stated. “But, you know, to say that ‘Blue Lives Murder’ — to me that’s hate speech.”

This appears to go against Amazon’s policy prohibiting the sale or “products that promote, incite or glorify hate or violence towards any person or group.”

Several customers have left reviews stating the item promotes further division amid nationwide protests and called the shirt hate speech, un-American and distasteful.

The founder of Blue Lives Matter-NYC, police Sergeant Joe Imperatrice, also responded. He said the shirts are fueling the anti-cop fire and it could cost somebody, more than likely a police officer, their life. He added that the shirts need to be taken down immediately.
