California billionaire Tom Steyer has officially announced he’s running for president in the 2020 election. In a campaign video released Tuesday, Steyer reversed his previous statement that he would not be joining the race as a Democrat candidate.

The liberal mega donor has funneled millions of dollars to organizations pushing for the impeachment of President Trump since 2017. Steyer pledged to focus on climate change and reforming our so-called “corrupt political system” in the video announcement.

Steyer’s bid comes just one day after California Congressman Eric Swalwell dropped out of the crowded Democrat field for 2020.
