2020 candidate Joe Biden recently got into a spat with a reporter from Breitbart during his visit to the Iowa State Fair. Breitbart editor Joel Pollak approached the former vice president this week, pressing the Democrat on his arguments regarding President Trump’s statements over Charlottesville.
Biden fired back at the questioning, alleging the president encourages white supremacy. This comes as several 2020 Democrats, including Biden, have used the recent shootings to paint President Trump as a divider.
Biden’s remarks come after the president formally condemned hatred and white supremacy on Monday, calling on all Americans to unite against the rising tide of racist violence against innocent people.
We must honor the sacred memory of those we have lost by acting as ONE PEOPLE. Open wounds cannot heal if we are divided. We must seek real, bipartisan solutions that will truly make America safer and better for all. pic.twitter.com/ADvMn9HZW7
