The Senate Intelligence Committee wants Facebook and Twitter officials to testify in its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Committee Chairman Richard Burr says it’s a matter of “when” the companies will be summoned rather than “if.”

This comes a week after Facebook revealed a pro-Kremlin organization bought $100,000 worth of ads on the platform during the 2016 election.

Russian operatives also organized anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim rallies through Facebook events, but Facebook did not disclose.

This only pushing a deeper inquiry into the social media companies by lawmakers since the ads are “only the tip of the iceberg.”

Does anyone notice that they don’t say who that $100000 was benefitting. Bet it was swillary.

  • Scott Henke

I’m no longer on fascistbook or tweeter, so whatever the Russians did on them didn’t convince me to vote for President Trump. Hillary Clinton did a good enough job of that herself.

  • Virginia Panko

The Clinton’s, Obama and Soros are behind all of this. Hillary’s and Podesta Emails reveal Google and Facebook working with trying to get Hillary and Democrats Elected.

Right after Facebook and Twitter they want to see Al Sharpton, Cher and Rosie O’Donnell.

  • Eric

I hope they probe Podestas, Brock, Alefantis, Luzzatto,Silsby this hard.

  • Just Saying-2

    Sure they can be trusted.(sarcasm)

  • Redduke

This would be a Democrat program to discredit Trump and his followers. They would try to organize these to make moderates reject him. Russian Collusion? yes, but by teh Democrats and their supporters. Neither Twitter or Facebook are friends to Conservatives.

Follow the money! Who is financially backing these organizations. Just because they are ‘pro-Kremlin and Russian operatives” does not necessarily mean that funding came from Russia. For all we know, perhaps George Soros is behind this….or the Clinton Foundation…..or special pro-Democrat interest groups within the USA. There are endless possibilities.

How do you spell “Russian Investigation”? W-I-T-C-H-H-U-N-T………..

Except that the witches are doing the hunting.

  • AntiFederalist007

Does anyone recall Obama buying ads in Israel during one of their elections, in an effort to dissuade people from voting for a particular candidate?

    • michaelparsons

      With OUR $$$ no less.

    • Scott Henke

He did something similar with Brexit.

  • Allmedialies

The mysterious “Russian Operatives” and “Pro-Kremlin Organizations”.
No idea who they are, but, by golly, they did it.

Pro-Kremlin organization? Wouldn’t that be ANTIFA?
