A manhunt is underway in Philadelphia after a gunman opened fire on a group of teenagers, killing a 16-year-old.
Authorities say the suspect approached a group of teens sitting on a porch early Sunday morning and began shooting.
A 16-year-old boy died at the scene after being shot in the chest, while a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police have not determined a motive, but an investigation is ongoing.
“The two victims were with a bunch of other children basically just hanging out talking and a male shooter about five-foot-six wearing all dark clothing came upon them and basically started firing into the crowd,” announced Captain George Fuchs of the Philadelphia Police Department.
The suspect later fled the scene.
Authorities say they are looking for a black male in his early twenties standing about five-feet six-inches tall with brown eyes and wavy hair.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
