‘Grinch Bots’ Scalp Toys Off Web, Sell With Marked Up Prices

The Grinch that stole Christmas is coming to life as robots drive up toy prices. This holiday season, so-called “toy scalpers” are using software called ‘Grinch bots’ to buy thousands of popular toys before parents have a chance to get even one. Sites across the web list hot toys like Fingerlings, the LOL Surprise! Doll, and the Classic Edition of the Super Nintendo as sold out after cyber-scalpers purchase the entire supply.
