At least 30 people are dead and more than 80 injured following a suicide bombing in a small Iraqi town.
The attacker detonated a truck loaded with explosives in a crowded marketplace on Tuesday about 130 miles north of Baghdad.
Most of the deceased were civilians, but at least six Iraqi security forces were killed.
The town had been under the protection of Kurdish security forces until last month.
The Iraqi military drove the Kurdish fighters out of the town, leaving it vulnerable to an attack after the recent defeat of ISIS.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Iraqi government is blaming the Islamic State.
