Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said the U.S. may use aspects of the Israeli-Egyptian border wall in its wall with Mexico.

That’s according to a report from Israeli radio, which claimed Nielsen pointed to Israel’s long-time experience securing its borders to stem the flow of ISIS militants into the country.

The DHS secretary reportedly made the remarks earlier this week after touring the Israeli-Egyptian border .

Speaking later, Secretary Nielsen stressed the border wall is crucial to U.S. national security.

“At the direction of President Trump, the U.S. government has taken sweeping action to secure our borders and prevent dangerous individuals from getting into America,” she stated. “Border security is national security — our Israeli partners know that better than anyone and I was fortunate today to see the incredible work they’re doing to keep their territory and citizens safe.”

The DHS said Secretary Nielsen also discussed border infrastructure and technology with Israeli security officials.
