The Republican National Committee donated $170,000 to Roy Moore’s Senate campaign.
The RNC transferred funds to the Alabama Republican Party on the candidate’s behalf on Tuesday.
The group had previously cut ties with the judge following sexual misconduct allegations.
The committee made two transfers with the first for $50,000 and the second for $120,000.
Current polls show Moore leading over his Democrat opponent to become Alabama’s next senator.
Meanwhile, White House aide Kellyanne Conway defended the president’s support of Roy Moore.
During an interview Wednesday, Conway was questioned on President Trump’s agenda, including keeping Republican control of the Senate.
“The president has said the allegations are troubling, they’re also 40 years old, nobody came forward before and the guy’s been on the ballot many times,” Conway told reporters. “Doug Jones is a liberal Democrat and he doesn’t want a liberal Democrat representing Alabama in the United States Senate.”
As the conversation shifted into the presidents endorsement of Moore, Conway said the sexual harassment allegations are troubling, but are coming to light at an interesting time.
The president fully endorsed Moore this week ahead of Alabama’s special election, which is set to take place Tuesday.
