President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani is speaking out against the special counsel’s Russian investigation.

The attorney’s comments came during an interview Wednesday, where he discussed the ongoing investigation into alleged Russian collusion.

Giuliani said the FBI will not inform Congress how much money the investigation is costing the American people, and echoed similar sentiments by both President Trump and GOP lawmakers who have repeatedly called for an end to the probe.

“Their inability to reach a conclusion that is obvious, and their unwillingness to recognize the damage this does to our country, all over the world — there’s no reason for this investigation, there never was a good reason for it in the first place,” Giuliani commented. “This was engineered by Comey.”

The president attorney also touched on the Trump Tower meeting in 2016, saying it’s not illegal to ask for dirt on political opponents.

He went on to say the probe should wrap up, adding, the special counsel has sufficient evidence to write their report and put an end to the so-called “witch hunt.”
