After weeks of silence on the matter, President Trump finally weighs in on the Alabama Senate race following accusations of sexual misconduct aimed at candidate Roy Moore.
Before leaving the White House for his Thanksgiving break, the president spoke to reporters about the embattled judge.
President Trump threw his support behind Moore, saying we don’t need a liberal Democrat in Alabama’s Senate seat.
When asked about the allegations, President Trump said Moore deserves to be heard just as much as the accusers.
“Look he denies it, I mean if you really look at what’s going on and you look at the things that happened over the last 48 hours, he totally denies it,” said the president. “He says it didn’t happen and you have to listen to him.”
The president also said Congress should release the names of politicians who have settled sexual harassment claims while serving in office.
