President Trump is set to meet with GOP leaders in the coming days about the 2018 agenda.

White House aide Marc Short said Sunday, the president has invited Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan to Camp David in the first week of January.

The goal of the trip will be to make sure the White House and Congress are on the same page going forward.

Short says infrastructure will be at the top of the agenda and the president will roll out a plan next month.

“Both Democrats and Republicans say infrastructure is crumbling and we need to fix it,” said Short. But the big question remains, will democrats put politics aside and actually work with us. They need to meet us half way.”

Other top agenda items are said to include the border wall, health care and national security.

  • A general green card amnesty can be achieved by supporting the bipartisan 1994 Commission on Immigration Reform’s (CIR) recommendations, reform birthright citizenship, asses penalties to municipal authorities who harbor illegal aliens, close the Child Tax Credit loophole, establish English as the official language of the U.S., and allocate funding for the wall on our southern border

It’s leaders like President Trump who get bloodied because they must go through the fence first. Here’s what I mean by that. Let us not forget to remember–everyone and everything was against President Trump when he first took office. No one recognized his leadership style, let along appreciated or respected it–or him. And that included the majority of “establishment politicians” of liberal democrats and conservatives alike. President Trump faced this STATUS QUO–how things had always been done–and especially not done. There was more focus on people’s politics and political agenda than a COMMITMENT to SERVE America and Americans FIRST–which President Trump knew is the key to our country’s success and prosperity–to include a prosperity of decency, goodness and shared common culture. And politics was always about “well said” and not “well done”–meaning meetings, consensus and vote-seeking was more important than ACCOMPLISHMENT. So, President Trump used the leadership technique DISRUPTION–the Mother of All Leadership Bombs–to cause “strategic chaos” in order to garner organizational and people realignment. He got bloodied, but he also learned who was committed and who was unwilling to commit to SERVE America and Americans FIRST…and not their own personal political agenda. He got rid of waste, incompetence, and “counterfeit” people in government–and began building the confidence of the GOP…not only that they could be leaders but also that they could unite in Congress. And if they could unite themselves, they could unite our country and people. And that’s where they are today–with tomorrow waiting for them with open arms if they continue to accomplish and serve.

Poorly chosen wording “GOP Leaders”, how about two faced swamp rats.

      agreed

Correction: The swamp dwellers we’re dealing now are Obama holdover bureaucrats like McCabe and Strozk, EPA and Education Dep’t Nazis, etc., not our elected representatives. The latter are now showing an ability to work with our elected president, and also to pursue justice against Clinton-Obama corruption.

I’d support citizenship for DACA with the following:
    – Anyone with a criminal conviction is automatically gone, dreamer or not
    – All illegals are gone
    – Wall on the southern border
    – No more chain immigration
    – No more of the Chump Schumer Diversity Visa Lottery
    – Visas only for those with skills needed in this country
    – Tighter vetting of all applicants
    – No more sanctuary city BS. States that violate federal law receive no federal funding for anything

    • Brad

Sounds reasonable to me and no school can post another country flag next to Ole Glory.

      • ManORight

The flag display is already a law. No flag can be posted higher than the US flag but that protocol holds no water in places where America haters are in charge – think Bay Area California.

that only makes sense and mommy said common sense ain’t that common!

Republicans ain’t got no viable agenda goin’ forward. They recklessly used any “budget reconciliation” capital on tax “cuts” for the wealthiest 2% & big corporations. GOP can officially scratch-off infrastructure, border wall, immigration reform, repeal & replace Obamacare, CHIP, entitlement reform (of any kind), veterans healthcare, spending, nat’l security surveillance program, disaster relief, & long-term military funding.

GOP foolishly put EVERYTHING “money” into this tax “cut” for the wealthy using “reconciliation.” Democrats can now block **ANY** bill in bloc. Henceforth, EVERYTHING requires 60 votes (i.e., spending, revenues, federal debt limit) unless, of course, congress passes a revised budget resolution for thr FY – – but republicans ain’t gonna risk that.

Also, because the tax “cut” bill slashed revenue by $1.5T & added to the federal deficit, this’ll trigger a 2010 law makin’ automatic spending cuts to Medicare & other programs since REPUBLICANS increased the deficit.

      is that you uncle joe?

The wall is the infrastructure that needs to have priority. I disagree with the President on his crusade to spend $1,000,000,000,000.00 on infrastructure. He has cited airports, bridges and tunnels as “crumbling” in his quest. Most bridges and tunnels are operated by port authorities that mismanage their vast toll revenues. Airports are, for the most part, public corporations, that should support themselves just like any other business. Before anyone busts me…yes, I know most airports operate as “authorities.”

When massive amounts of taxpayer dollars are served up in this manner, the waste, fraud and abuse is massive. Mr. President….we have a debt crisis if you haven’t noticed.

      1. Ain’t no wall bein’ built, @Disgusted Caucasian. Let’s talk shop. Despite a border wall bein’ YOUR #1 priority, DTrump & congressional republicans usurped your vote to instead give massive tax cuts to the wealthy & big corporations instead of placing YOUR wants before they repaid their donors. “Why,” you ask? Simple:
      A. GOP foolishly put EVERYTHING “money” into the tax “cut” for the wealthy by using “reconciliation.” Democrats can now stop **ANY** bill in bloc. Henceforth, EVERYTHING requires 60 votes (i.e., spending, revenues, federal debt limit) unless, of course, congress passes a revised budget resolution for FY – – but republicans ain’t risking that.
      B. Also, because the tax “cut” bill slashed revenue by $1.5T & added to the federal deficit, this’ll trigger a 2010 law makin’ automatic spending cuts to Medicare & other programs since REPUBLICANS increased the deficit.
      2. BOTTOM LINE: DTrump & congressional republicans played you, & others, for a paltry $17/wk. YOU want a border wall & immigration deportations; instead, My Brudda, you’re gettin’ $17/wk.

Let this be a lesson learned!

    Wall first, infrastructure next.
