President Trump declares great progress is being made with North Korea.

The president posted a letter sent to him from Kim Jong Un in which he writes he “deeply” appreciates the “energetic and extraordinary efforts” by President Trump, in a tweet Thursday.

The North Korean leader went on to say he believes progress on bilateral relations will bring another meeting forward.

This comes after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited North Korea earlier this month and met with top officials– with the exception of Kim.
