President Trump is moving forward with his push for tax reform.

The president is set to participate in an event with small businesses Tuesday afternoon where he’s expected to demand a historic overhaul of the tax code.

Officials say the president is 100% committed to getting tax reform done this year.

They also claim he’s set an “aggressive schedule”{ in hopes of passing new legislation.

Participants in Tuesday’s meeting are expected to discuss the hardships and struggles of small businesses, and the future of manufacturing.

Meanwhile, White House officials say the president is aiming for a business tax rate of 15%.

Legislative Director Marc Short laid out how the Trump administration wants the bill to be drafted Monday.

This comes days after congressional Republicans released a broad outline for new tax legislation.

Officials say the timetable laid out for reform is aggressive, and hinted the White House might prefer steeper tax cuts even if they’re only temporary.

Over the next week discussions will likely focus on whether cuts should be permanent.

  1. Business counts taxes as one of their expenses. And adjust their prices accordingly.

Therefore, we the consumer are paying the business tax no matter the rate.

Flat tax on privately earned income. Fifteen percent to start, with five of that going to pay down the debt.

If the gubmint doesn’t collect enough money to pay for everything, then they’ll have to do like the rest of us and go without.

Start with HHS. Defund Departments of Education, Interior, and Energy.

As the saying goes, “If God only asks for 10%, why should the gubmint get more?”

  2. Actually making the environment better for employers is no big deal.

Try punishing the successful while concurrently telling us they you will create more jobs, like the Democrats do…THAT takes talent! Or ignorance.

The Rino’s wont let this happen either.

  4. YES!!! Reduce the rates and absolutely eliminate all the loopholes they use to avoid paying any taxes… !!!!
Scratch the entire system and replace with simple tiered rates with no loopholes above 200k income! That will include your rich elected officials too.

  5. if we have 15% tax rate for our small business we WILL BE the true strongest and richest country in the world!

I wish he’d just shut up and get things done. Have the American people really become so dumb that they believe these 3 minute blurbs and one line headlines?
Tax reform for small business means nothing if the middle class can’t afford their services because any savings those small businesses get goes into and stays in their pocket, there is never a reduction in service costs to the consumer. And now let’s talk about all the illegals still receiving SS benefits and working under the table paying no taxes, I don’t think they care too much about their business tax. Just more PR BS. Results speak louder than words and actions….
Example: Neighbor recently took bids for a driveway paving job, total rip off because as the price of oil has dropped the price they are charging for a ton of asphalt has not gone down and 3 out of the 4 crews he took bids from have illegals on their crew… go figure huh?

    • Obstructionist congress needs to be removed.

You’re right and sadly, I don’t remember that being an obstacle for the muslim Barry Soetoro and his flying monkeys.

You must have been in a coma for the last 8 years. McConnell stood at the podium and stated his job was make President Obama a one-term president. He then did everything he could to delay/destroy anything connected to the president. Pres. Trump has a Republican Majority in both the house and senate and still can’t get anything meaningful accomplished. It’s the Democrats fault, it’s the Democrats fault squawk squawk, the new rallying cry of the Republicans under Trump.

          • HarryObrian | August 1, 2017 at 9:25 am |

Ah??, that’s what I implied by saying that “SADLY” Congress was not an obstacle for muslim Barry as it is for President Trump.

Obviously it’s the democrats fault – but also the RINOs too. Obama was elected in 2008: democrats have been voted out of and lost 1000’s of state offices, lost both houses of Congress, lost to Trump, democrats also lost the last 5 special elections since Trump. Why do you suppose 100’s of millions of voters in over 80% of the counties in the USA have voted to remove democrats?

        • Congress seems to have been lock step with Obama in selling out our nation to the globalists and still are. We the people are President Trump’s greatest asset.

I pray he does! I pay 45% in the trucking industry and it isn’t fair. Plus my 2290 MC 150 and IRP for repairing roads is never used for the roads so why should I pay them on top of my federal and state tax!

    “Americans for tax freedom”

    • And sadly, the main opposition will be the Republicunts……

      • All American | August 1, 2017 at 9:09 am |

        Let’s hope not

        • They’ve already started squawking because it (to them) means less $$ for their government & control of such – Undermines their Utopian wet-dream, the eternal and immutable principles of Big Government ‘for which they stand’…..

          • It’s really simple and sinful. We’re being ruled by a ‘UNIPARTY’. Big Government Globalists with both hands in OUR pockets.

          • All American | August 1, 2017 at 10:35 am |

They (the Swamp) will support President Trump and the American public or they will be gone in the upcoming elections…

          • Amen!

      • I think many RINO rats will be losing their seats in the 2018 mid-term primaries to other, better republicans.
