President Trump says the congressional investigation into alleged Russian collusion is a disgrace, and is bad for the country.
In a recent interview, he said the probes have revealed there was *no collusion whatsoever.”
He added, the Russian-sponsored ads on Facebook were irrelevant to the 2016 presidential race.
President Trump has maintained the mainstream media is only interested in promoting the “Russia hoax” to deflect from Hillary Clinton’s historic election loss.
“I tell you, the biggest collusion is the fake media, because you look at the way the media treat Conservative Republicans, in particular, me, and you look at CNN, fake news, you look at NBC its terrible, people, it’s just very dishonest reporting,” President Trump commented.
He suggested the FBI used the debunked Fusion GPS dossier as an excuse to open its collusion probe.
That dossier was recently revealed to be sponsored by the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, the president may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his trip to Asia.
Both leaders will be at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vietnam next week.
While the White House has not announced any plans for a meeting, President Trump said he may meet with the Russian leader.
He added, Russia could help the U.S. deal with North Korea.
The president first met Putin at the G-20 summit in Germany back in July.
While the relationship between the two countries has weakened due to recent sanctions, the Kremlin says talks are underway to arrange a meeting next week.
