Pakistan launches a major military operation against the Islamic State near the Afghan border.

A Pakistani military official made the announcement Sunday, saying growing ISIS influence in Afghanistan had to be stopped from spilling into Pakistan.

The official said an infantry division backed by the air force and artillery would clear the tribal region along the north-western border.

The spokesman said ISIS will not gain a foothold in Pakistan, and called on Afghanistan to set up a joint-operation to stop the threat.

Pakistan has long denied the presence of ISIS in its country despite being hit with a number of terror attacks claimed by the group over the past two years.

If they are making entry into Pakistan so they are coming from Afghanistan. So how long US has been in Afg? The question is where these ISIS monsters are popping from? From Sky?

Pakistani government always shows their hand before the play it. They always announce that they are going to clear an area some time in the future to allow the opposition to escape and celebrate victory about their smooth operation. They really want to clean up they should parachute the Special Service Group into the FATA.
