North Korea Fires Back After South Korean President Thanks U.S.

North Korea suggested it may not be sending athletes to compete in the Winter Olympics after all.

Last week, there was a sign of optimism amid the North Korean nuclear crisis after much anticipated talks between the north and south.

“I think President Trump deserves big credit for bringing the inter-Korean talks,” stated South Korea President Moon Jae-in.

However, following the comments thanking President Trump for bringing the north to the negotiating table, the rogue regime is now back on the attack.

Through its state-run news outlet, North Korea called Moon’s ‘thank you’ a sordid act, adding it casts doubt on the future relationship between the two countries.

The broadcaster went on to threaten the regime’s exit from the Olympics, saying the train destined to carry the country’s delegation to the games hasn’t yet departed.

The two sides had earlier released a joint statement promising to hold a new round of talks, and officials were hopeful on the progress being made.

Moon said Wednesday he’s open to meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un if certain conditions are met, as he vowed to push for more talks with the North to resolve the nuclear standoff. President Trump was also optimistic after speaking on the phone with President Moon last week.

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un has yet to speak out on the latest controversy surrounding his regime.

They can’t board the train to the Olympics without a ticket, and tickets cost money. If you want peace, NoKo needs ticket $$$.

  2. WrathMaster | January 16, 2018 at 6:54 am |

Eliminate Kim publicly and make the NOKO folks watch their false god meet his maker…

  3. Who cares if they send any people or not. Screw ’em.

  4. Hellro, my name is Un, and I am an Alcohoric.

  5. Good. They shouldn’t have been allowed to participate in the first place.

  6. President Trump is the only President to stand up to NK and not just BS the American people with rhetoric.

  7. Don’t think they will ever give up what they have in nuclear weapons but maybe they stop further development and testing and a peaceful dialogue with the US and its Allies. Definitely asking for money in the next round and the condition is no more development and testing.

  8. Why is Hennessy doing business with Kim-Jong?

The way the North Koreans reacted to this proves that they are feeling The pressure of trumps policy, it must feel like the walls are closing in on them, that’s why they are over reacting to it. Thank God we have President Trump.

So what.. stop kissing ass and let things go.

    • Floridastorm | January 16, 2018 at 6:55 am |

You sure don’t know Trump and General Mattis if you think they have not considered every military scenario. I’m also sure that South Korea has already planned how best to protect it’s people and Seoul when whatever remaining offense NK has starts firing, after the US military has taken out most of their weapons in the first hour.

  11. Fat Boy AND his generals must all be taken out. …..And his prison guards. Those guys must be real murderous perverts, too..

  12. ……. awww, they were a shoe in for the tapeworm event.

  13. “Kim Jong Un” translates into “has tiny dik”

  14. andrew moore | January 16, 2018 at 2:57 am |

    And I should care why?

  15. andrew moore | January 16, 2018 at 2:56 am |

I thought all of the NK athletes that where healthy enough to compete and could run, jump, or swim had already made it to South Korea….

  16. Fat Boy is a Democrat

    • Is that like in “IGNORANT DEMOCRAT?
Just reminded me of an old movie “Swamp People”…….I’ll check if I can find it online.

  17. A lunatic’s a lunatic. Why everybody just stopped pressuring him I don’t know. Stupid act of a liberal. Suicidal. Nothing changed. This guy has to be taken out. You KNEW something like this would happen. He’s phony all the way. Waiting to pounce. Anybody going to the games is taking their life in their hands. I’ve said this all along.

  18. Shame _ shame..would have been fun to see them starved athletes from noko lose in almost every area of Olympic trials. They would just find a way to blame trump for there downfall. Crazy kim would just execute the athletes for losing. And we would weep for them in the press. Shame- shame

  19. JJake Spitz | January 15, 2018 at 8:15 pm |

No NK athletes, oh no they were the favorite in the team goose step march events

  20. Trains are great for moving nukes. Talk about a Trojan Horse!

  21. Reality Junkie | January 15, 2018 at 8:05 pm |

Can someone please, please, please just put a bullet in the Freak. Starving his people, launching rockets, talking smack, i’m tired of even hearing about him. I cannot believe nobody has called for a wet-work team yet.

  22. Kim should let them go to South Korea. They will have some fun and get feed!

  23. The whole thing was a joke to begin with. Actually, Kim is a joke to begin with.
The guy is playing chess on a world scale. My pawn takes your Queen. Never mind the fact that your pawn is surrounded by Bishops and Knights and Castles.
You don’t seem to realize that your pawn has three minutes to live.

But I guess that’s your problem.

    Why does Fatso still live?

  25. Well, if you ignore a narcassist, ie, Kim, they do bad things. It’s apparent that if Kim isn’t in the spotlight, he no happy.

  26. All American | January 15, 2018 at 4:29 pm |

    NOKO is LOCO 😝

  27. The train’s not leaving because Lil Kim knows full well that anyone who goes to the Olympics will defect.

  28. Someone needs to remind Lil Kim that Trump can make him his b*tch in a NY minute.

  29. F Bong, F N. Korea

  30. It only hurts the athletes. Sad.

  31. If North Korea does attend ; The UN will have to find an Engineer to return the empty Train ………..

    • The train was probably stolen from China in the first place. A few years ago there was a dust up between China and NK because NK was getting trainloads of aid from China, and was keeping the trains for their own use. Really. You can’t make this stuff up.

  32. They should stay home , the little midgets can’t win at anything anyway ………….

  33. Tell NK to either defecate or get off the pot. Give him until Friday to make a final decision. If no response by Friday then inform him that NK has been dropped from the list of participating countries.

  34. He must work for CNN. They get upset when you give President Trump credit also.

The South Korean president is the Obama of Korea who will sell the United States out in a pinch and to satisfy North Korea. He is dominated by North Korea and does not have the strength to stand up for his country, let alone the United States.

    • Floridastorm | January 16, 2018 at 6:46 am |

You are correct. They got rid of the tough lady president that they had, on trumped up charges of corruption, and put this guy in. Trying to Talk to Kim is like trying to talk to Nancy Pelosi. Common sense has left the building.

If one cannot comment on an English blog site in English – why risk misunderstanding? Winning over no hearts and minds this way.

    • Speak English or get the heck out.

    • "I'm a Rooster!" | January 15, 2018 at 12:57 pm |

My dear Camille, having been forced to take French in Jr. High gave me enough negative things about the French. I am partial to my God-given language of English and one strong Republican at that. Please have another croissant and stay off OANN please.

    • What’s this about changing frogs? Sorry… Lost in translation…

I’m not with the other commenters that you shouldn’t be here, but keeping in mind that this is an English language site, responses in English are more likely to get you an intelligible response.

    • Gnome Sane? | January 15, 2018 at 3:11 pm |

Que cono acaba de decir? 😉

  38. It is now obvious Kim Jung Un is a Democrat.

  39. Why would we care if the relationship between North and South Korea improves? I mean, more power to them if they can get warm and friendly with each other. But it’s the US that the fat boy has the big problem with, and against whom he continues to threaten to use his “missiles”. The game doesn’t change whether the North Koreans enter someone in the ski jump at the Olympics or not.

Besides, their athletes are better suited to the Summer games – the way some of those defectors made their way south across the border, I wouldn’t want to try to compete with them in the steeplechase.

  40. Hope N Korea is enjoying their sh!thole status.

  41. And these are the people we expect to be “reasonable”. Really?

  42. My God the world is filled with whiners.

  43. How do you say Chuck Fou Yarlie in Korean?

  44. Living in the Times | January 15, 2018 at 11:53 am |

He is stealing it from the people! Look at them and look at Kim. He is starving them to death to make his brainwashing easier!

    • Michael G. Wilson | January 15, 2018 at 6:41 pm |

I believe he is talking about the athletes putting on the weight with all of the plentiful food available in the south!

  45. little fat man say screw Trump – war back on! lol…

  46. “The broadcaster went on to threaten the regime’s exit from the Olympics, saying the train destined to carry the country’s delegation to the games hasn’t yet departed.”

Boy, there is a threat. The North Koreans Olympic challenge to maintain their hold on that solid last place. 🙂

    • Living in the Times | January 15, 2018 at 11:50 am |

Big chuckle! I didn’t know North Korea even had Olympians, Hmmmmm

      • Apparently, they Do Feed, at least a Few, of their subjects ! Far better for their subjects were they to Open Up their Economy to ‘Enterprise’ And Learn from their Southern Success Story!

      • They will now have to cancel the tape worm toss. NK was the only country entered in the event.

  47. nfcapitalist | January 15, 2018 at 10:55 am |

    Notice anything here?

North Korea is acting like the Democrats… state condemns South Korean president Moon for his ‘thank you,’ adding that it casts doubt on future relations between the two countries… DNC strategy book… division, condemnation, and threats… rules for radicals.

  48. Swamp Bleach | January 15, 2018 at 10:47 am |

We can send a man to the moon…but we can’t figure how to stop NK.

    • nfcapitalist | January 15, 2018 at 11:00 am |

We can’t send men to the moon… we can’t even send men to the ISS… when that effort was current, sending men to the moon, if North Korea had been threatening America with nuclear weapons in 1970 we had three thousand aircraft on standby loaded for war 24/7/365.

      • Floridastorm | January 16, 2018 at 6:36 am |

One B1 or one Ohio Class Submarine could do more damage today than those 3 thousand aircraft could in 1970.

        • nfcapitalist | January 16, 2018 at 6:43 am |

To say that you are wrong would stand as the understatement of the century… how do I know?

I was there… do you even know what a Mk 28 or Mk 43 on the center pylon of an F-100 or 3,000 can do… obviously not.

    • Living in the Times | January 15, 2018 at 11:58 am |

I think the problem is finding a diplomatic solution for us and our allies living next to the loon. If we fire a nuke…no one wins. The fallout alone would affect us all.

  49. Stonecrusher | January 15, 2018 at 10:44 am |

No athletes, no reason to participate. Art delegation is not an Olympic competitive event.

  50. 🐯 TigerBear 🐻 | January 15, 2018 at 10:22 am |

Why hasn’t the CIA focused on getting this guy taken out rather than working to help present a fake dossier on Trump???

    • ‘ Assassination ‘ Usually results in making things Worse! ref Pres.Kennedy; The US, has yet to recover!

      • What did Kennedy even do before he was shot that was good? Curious. JFK was deep state.

        • NOTHING IMPORTANT………and I was around to see the NOTHING.

          • He prevented WW3 with the Russians by using a naval blockade. Had he done anything else, none of us would be here to talk about it.

        • Floridastorm | January 16, 2018 at 6:30 am |

Many misinformed people do not know that he was the architect of the “great society” programs which created the Socialist Welfare State and which has nearly bankrupted this country. LBJ only pushed his programs through congress. He did not originate them. I love it when people say that he was really a Conservative. The entire Kennedy family were Leftist/Socialists.

    • There’s no clear successor, and it’s likely that the situation would get even worse, but I do think they’re always ready to pull that trigger if the order comes down.

    • He’s more afraid of the Chinese deciding he’s more trouble than he’s worth. You’ll note that the NK officials he kills off (including his own brother, recently) are all dead because they got too friendly with the Chinese.

  51. Nuke’m. Enough already.

  52. Next round, North Korea will be asking for money. Mark my words.

    • Just like Jerry Brown in Californistan.

    • nfcapitalist | January 15, 2018 at 11:02 am |

… and Jack Daniels… fat boy likes his American whiskey.

    • "I'm a Rooster!" | January 15, 2018 at 1:10 pm |

It’s always seems to be about the money with these dictators. I believe the “ask” has already been done.

    • Yes. For sixty year NK has been extorting money, fuel, food, or whatever it needs to keep its leaders in power, from the US, SK and Japan. Now everyone’s tired of it scam, so little Kim waves his little fists and kicks his little feet and screams until his face is blue. In one way, it’s grimly amusing. Until very recently, NK refused to take part in any talks that included SK, claiming that the SK government was nothing but a US puppet. Now NK want to talk ONLY with SK in hopes of getting some concessions they know they won’t get from the US.

    • I rather imagine that everyone in the Western World realizes this, Kim lil un will should he ever come to the negotiating table, be demanding aid of some type or other whilst promising whatever he thinks the West wants, but in the end like every other time his Father made the same demands, none of the promises he makes, will ever be kept.

    • I believe they will next want the easing of the sanctions … and probably money.

    • Well a couple of GOV MORONS in the past gave away the store….and we all know how that worked.
Well that last one just Talked it to death for 8 year ……obviously that was a winner too…….hahahaha
(ok, I didn’t forget the MILLIONS that went to Iran from the DC Neanderthal to work on their Nukes)
