Mulvaney Stopping Slush Funds from Going to Leftist Organizations at CFPB

January 9, 2018
OAN Newsroom

Since stepping in as acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Mick Mulvaney has quickly made changes to the agency, which has often been accused of being too powerful by top Republicans.

One America’s Emerald Robinson has more from Washington.

CFPB is one more example of Democrat overreach into the lives of every American. Putting it under the Federal Reserve, a joke in it self, and basically shielding it from public view was close to treasonous, yet not a peep from Democrats. Although only establishes less than 10 years ago, they want to spend billions of dollars on a “remodel” of their offices and THAT is not fake news. Billions for an office remodel for a almost secret agency and not for a wall to make America safer? Does that make any sense? Of course it doesn’t., but it is Washington, D.C. after all and they love spending other people’s money to satisfy their royalty lifestyle. Don’t take my word for it. Look it up.

Every penny that was paid out better be paid back.

  • Michael Hiteshew

Will anyone be charged? How about a dozen people in jail for 30 years. There’s a deterrent.

  • SeattleWonder

Another win for the American people compliments of President Trump.

  • Rob McDonnell

Yes…..cut off all funds to those idiot Libs!

  • Quantum Leap

Listen up, people – Leftist orgs are spread FAR and WIDE and are heavily funded. The only way to stop them is to be AT LEAST as energetic. We all need to be an activist of some kind if we’re to effect change. This is the only way for us to save this country from anti-american, narcissistic liberals.

Def of slush fund: “a reserve of money used for illicit purposes, especially political bribery.”

So who is funding the slush fund????

  • Kevin Droopy McKee

This is criminal! Why aren’t people going to freaking jail for this?!?

    • Lovingit

I must say that ten times a day.

  • ja ko

Soros used to receive taxpayers money from Obama’s numerous slush funds to finance destruction of this country

    • Libhunter

Both Soros & his billionaire buddy need to have Mozambique Drills once at least.

  • monorprise

It won’t end until he turns it against them only then will Democrats in Congress want to end it, and he press report it to the majortly of the population. Of course they will omit the fact that Obama created this program and used it this way for 6 years.

  • Ed L

Hey how about finding poor families with real smart or gifted children and give them vouchers will allow the parents to send their children to private schools. The funding provide will be enough for the kids to graduate high school.

  • Scott Berg

Draining the swamp one bucket at a time ~

  • Recapitate

Their salaries are high, and their database will be very valuable to the Left.

  • Recapitate

Shut it down, firing all. Start another similar org. with new personnel.

    • TwitterFace

Shut it down, firing all. Leave it shut down. A similar org would create similar problems.

  • One_way

    Shut this worthless organization down!

  • Roscoe

Just another useless organization that created solely to funnel money to the DemoRATZ and their cronies. Shut it down as it is just another hoax.

  • “I’m a Rooster!”

One more opportunity to slow Communism in America.

    • Recapitate

Well put. Slowing is not reversing, and given the brain washing of our children, it may well be too late.

      • “I’m a Rooster!”

        We share a similar fear.

        • Living in the Times

Yes. I think we all have concerns for the generation now coming up. I have a 20 year old millennial son at home. They are a bright group but definitely have set ideas on life. Not necessarily bad ideas but very different from my generation and past generations. I hope they use that intelligence for a good purpose/cause!

          • seawulf

My 20-something adult kids all buy into the same rhetoric the left has been peddling for a long time. However, my job as a parent didn’t end when they turned 18. I’m still taking time to educate them…make them think through what they are hearing and apply the filter of common sense. If their thoughts can stand up to a few questions, they might be valid. When the ideas start collapsing after a couple questions, even they see how wrong the thinking is.

          • Living in the Times

Yes. My son and I have had many heated, but friendly debates. The good fight continues!

          • seawulf

Yeah…I particularly loved the one about why Bernie Sanders would not be a good president and why his ideas were not good. Not angry debates, just a lot of questions and answers.

          • Living in the Times

My son supported Bernie. This was his first go around with politics so he is learning. I encourage him to think for himself regardless who agrees or disagrees with him, myself included. I must say though, as a Trump supporter, I almost had to put him up for adoption but since he is 20, I think I have missed the deadline for that. LOL LOL LOL

          • nancy

I have five amazing children, all college educated and all Conservatives. They learned the truth at home. Their professors hated them. I always thought that was a good thing.

          • Living in the Times

Yes! Clearly, if college professors are against your children…shows you did something right at home! Unfortunately, only liberalism is supported in our higher learning institutions. Instructors need to focus on education and curriculum NOT politics as they are not paid to be politicians!

          • seawulf

You SHOULD be proud of them. Mine are not what I would call conservatives, though to be honest, none are liberals. I taught them all to think for themselves, as well. And if their professors hated them, that is a good thing these days.

          • “I’m a Rooster!”

I believe your son will do fine. He had [you] to raise him.

          • Living in the Times

WELL THANK YOU I’M A ROOSTER!!!! What a great reply.

      • Living in the Times

Love your name Recapitate…as in, put your heads back on people! CLEVER!!

      • Sane_Person37

  • I Say

“stopping funds to Leftist organizations”………. SWEET!!!!!

    • James Owen

Look up what La Raza does! It’s incredible that taxpayer money went to this. The people responsible need to be put on trial for misappropriation and treason.

  • John Demello

The CFPB needs to be shut down completely. Another useless and wasteful entity!!!

    • ShortSweet

That may very well be the goal. But first, let the people know why it was shut down.

    • Living in the Times

Wait until they halt the slush funding. That seems to be a useful endeavor.

  • Varangian Guard

I see him making himself irrelevant and without that job by making the entity disappear. He supported its elimination, who better to see to its demise.

    • ShortSweet

Totally agree. He is merely letting us in on what we suspected … then it’s toast. Very impressive moves.
