Mueller Probe Has Cost Taxpayers More Than $5M

December 4, 2017
OAN Newsroom

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian meddling could be costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

One America’s Eddie McCoven has the details.

  • Uncle R

This whole deal was started by Hillary Clinton, and John Podesta after the election… Of course, the Democratic Fascist Party, and its media minions have fostered and promoted it, and THEY should cover the costs.

    • Uncle R

And I could just hear Hillary saying “That m***erf***er beat me, so I’m going to make his (Trump) life miserable.”

  • NODAKR

Clinton email and Benghazi investigations in congress 7 committees and $13 million dollars and what did they come up with nothing . From what I count Mueller has 4 he has charged in what is just the beginning of many more.

  • a voice of concern

The cost is a distraction…WHo cares….This guy is going down for collusion, corruption and eventually inciting the riot that is going to happen if he doesn’t fire the 17 partisan dems he hired and resign himself.

  • Charles Slavis

The FBI underground railroad is testifying before congress….Most replies are tongue in cheek…..

  • Charles Slavis

Next we will see Donkey Hoti

  • Charles Slavis

Has anybody measured Mule Ear’s nose?……

  • Charles Slavis

    Pinoccio comes to mind

  • Charles Slavis

How can President Trump expect an honest investigation from a Democratic appointment named Mule Ears…….

  • Impaler

Political parties should be out lawed. They are simply mafia groups fighting for power and our money. Each candidate should present himself to the public and get elected or rejected based on his own merit. Secret meetings to plot against other politicians should get you thrown out of office on the spot.

  • J. Waltam

And us taxpayers, have to pay for all these empty suits’ worthless activities.

  • Pete Greco

This is to continue the massive corruption that has plagued our government since 11/22/1963. We all have been duped. Donald wants to fix what has been going on for the last 54+ years. Not going to be easy without placing 50% of Congress in jail. Both the democrap and repukican gangs need to be replaced by pro-American bodies.

  • zoey

Double standard on justice , justice for the deep state all ok , justice for regular people the full laws to be applied and stacked its likewatching Russia and THE Kremlin in the USA justice dpt and FBI

  • Harold Swift

So, a successful scam is worth every dime it cost’s. Any good democrat would agree with that.

  • Bruce Johnson

do we honestly believe that Mueller a dem & all of his appointees who are all dems are or would veer from thier tunnel visioned goal of getting Trump or anyone associated with Trump, to pursue the Clintons or Podesta or Obama or Rice or Comey or Lynch ? especially when he, Mueller, is involved with Uranium One ? I think thats the funniest thing I have heard all week! our criminals in congress are what they are. Congress is a buddy program in which regardless of your affiliation, they cover each ones butts. And they hide things from we the people.

    • Harold Swift

Poorly stated but, how can one disagree with any of it?

  • C B

Pure and Simple , Mueller is a Traitor to America and its Leader !

  • Mountainhiker

Bottom line, the ticket is over 7 million and headed north, where is the money going, into the pockets of Hillary supporters that are looking for the taxpayers to make up for their bad investment in Hillary..

  • Barry Peglia

$5 million and the investigation is going no where. Except now they’re investigating every fart Trump ever made.

  • Tom Green

The arrogance and stupidity of Mueller is coming out and it is astounding: hiring hacks and hit men whose ties to Clinton were sure to come to light. They now have!! Hiring Strzok (whom he had to know all about from his years at FBI) is maybe the ultimate stupidity; other stupidities are being revealed. Mueller has sealed his fate as a con man, liar, and fool.

  • Isaiahdolan

Actually, I am sure it cost far more but I really don’t care. I strongly suggest that any “special counsel” probes be limited in time and scope. How about all charges must be made within 12 months?

    • Harold Swift

How about two weeks. Any decent charge should be easy to present.

  • No Mas

its past time for Sessions to unrecuse himself, remove corrupted Mueller and his band of dirty commierats and assign an unbiased professional to take over this job and then assign another for oversight.

  • lori french

    Sessions were are you?

  • kaiju

Lets say your really an Clinton/Obama fan and a Trump hater. You might try to fool us into thinking you have some real points to make by expressing “concern” about some of the issues you know we care about. You may also try to sow some doubt that Trump is doing the right thing by calling out swamp people daily for what they are. You might even try to plug NBC, CNN, and PBS as real news sources. First you have to assume though that we are a bunch of idiots.

    • a voice of concern

      BINGO

  • iownlsu

The US of A needs a law to ban Lawyers from Washington, DC

  • Becky Calaway

$14M wasted on the Benghazi investigation of Hillary.

  • ReaganKnewBest

He’s not a politician. He says what he wants who cares. And the President has the right to fire the FBI director even if it was because of the investigation sooo.

  • SaidNO2Liberalism

Mueller’s investigation into President Trump’s Russian collusion is null and void in light of Strzok’s anti-Trump texting and pro-HRC messages. I have made the claim about President Trump’s strategy to let this implode and it’s looking to be that way.

    • Scott Henke

President Trump needs to watch his mouth and tweets because the narrative is switching from collusion to obstruction of justice, which some slimy lawyer might be able to make a case for by misconstruing just a few key words.

  • Moshé_007

Lock her up or down, corruption has always been very costly, imagine how many traitors to the nation this Meuller has to pay, and nothing left on crimes made by Hillary, what world are we living in ?

    Donald, keep on doing !!

  • Pete Greco

False claims costing the American taxpayer reported $5 million. I am sure it is far more than that. This is so BS. How about the Obama, Clinton, 911, false flags massacres, Soros collusion and treason, what about the real crimes that were identified by Wikileaks, murders, $21 trillion dollars not accounted for, etc., etc. There are real crimes being committed but let us spend taxpayer money on false claims and mask over the real crimes and corruption. Typical CIA psyop.

  • monorprise

Can I have $5 million and FBI agents to help me so that I can investigate wether or not the Senate minority leader Chuck committed murder?

I mean we can’t be sure it didn’t happen until we investigate every last person on Earth to be sure they didn’t disappear and that that disappearance isn’t because Chuck killed them.

  • Roy Beane

Make no mistake about the real intent of Mueller’s investigation: > It is NOT to find collusion with the Russians because there never WAS any to find in the first place, and he likely already knows that. The REAL intent of this witch hunt is to find ANY grounds, ANY convenient excuse possible to overturn the results of the 2016 election and drive Trump OUT of office ANY way they can come up with. Even if they end up having to INVENT one to do it. Be interesting to see how fast all these leftists start running into the tall grass to hide if they inadvertently cause a new American Revolution IF they manage to overturn the election as they fervently hope to do soon. Hillary is already warming up in the bullpen to walk into the oval office if the unthinkable should happen.

    • iownlsu

Mueller works for the Bush Cartel

  • Todo

You don’t get it. He doesn’t care about being popular. Why do you want him to keep his mouth shut so bad? Take a look around you, the swamp is being drained of corruption and perversion, the economy is doing great, the stock market went from like 18000 to 24500, the housing market is booming again, unemployment is at an incredible rate, etc. etc. What is the problem? Go cry somewhere else. MAGA biotch

  • Bill Smith

And he still has indicted Hillary, Obama, or Himself ! What is he waiting for?

  • jlsharks1

    STOP the BS.

    • nfcapitalist

Is that your way of saying… shut up, America… we the bureaucrats own you?

  • nfcapitalist

What about the 7 billion $ lost in the State Department in Kerry’s and Clinton’s watch… why no investigation there?

  • Tado

    Unemployed Leftist Lawyers NEED money.

  • No Mas

Can we/taxpayers bill the DNC and Clinton for this investigation since the fake dossier they and the Obama FBI paid for it to begin this investigation?

  • …remain calm and return fire

$5M seems low, are the liberal lawyers working gratis just for a shot at bringing Trump down..

  • GodWhomIsMike

Robert Mueller and his team are hostile actors that pose a greater threat to our nation than even an invading military force. He’s like the Trojan Horse stuck in there to overthrow the US Government.

    • nfcapitalist

George Soros is the untouchable… are our intelligence communities really this terrified of America’s enemies that they’ve joined them?

NO way, The Lawyers Salaries are more than that!
The interference with the Executive branch of our government and delays in congressional actions because of this charade is in the Billions.

  • floydcoxjr125@gjmail.com

If you think five million is correct; wake up 18 lawyers @500. hr x 40 hours = $360,000. a week. I can assure you that $1,000. an hour rate is more likely. Attorney fees alone exceed this so called $5 mil rept.

Wake up American, quite paying to destroy the country.

  • Sam Jacinto

Trump is a lifelong con man who has played on the fears of his followers to provide cover for his anti-democratic (small d) ideas (or Putin’s ideas) to enact sweeping changes against their own interests. It’s time to wake up and smell the rat that Trump truly is.He lies – and we will all end up paying for his damage for decades.

    • nfcapitalist

Ayn Rand wrote the reply to your compliment…

Is it Bribery or Extortion when a businessman must pay off politicians to complete a project?

      Who is John Gault???

      • Sam Jacinto

Gault is a fictional character worshiped by binary thinkers. Your “reply” is completely unresponsive and irrelevant.

        • nfcapitalist

          … truth is irrelevant?

          • Rufus Firefly

Ayn Rand is irrelevant to my comment and your “reply” is unresponsive. Ayn Rand is fiction.

  • Sam Jacinto

You people really should get out more. This right wing echo chamber is hazardous to your health – and an existential threat to democracy.

    • nfcapitalist

          • Steve Maxedon

Great, a liberal with the mind of a twelve year old and access to a dictionary. Did your mother look up existential for you?
I’ve edited your rely – “My name is Sam and I am an idiot who lives in my mothers basement.”
Your education is a threat to this great republic. Good thing for you, its not a democracy where the majority rules and the minority has no voice.

          • Sam Jacinto

            Your ignorance is regrettable.

          • Steve Maxedon

So far everything you have said has not required any thinking on your part. The echo chamber is in your head. You are a parrot not an eagle. The rest of us will soar far above your ignorance. It takes two wings to fly. Your left wing is damaged. Now that is what’s regrettable.

          • Sam Jacinto

            Talk about parroting.

          • Steve Maxedon

Sorry Sam, only you can resolve your cognitive dissonance. Get well soon. The 2018 elections are going to be here sooner than you would like.

          • Sam Jacinto

Yes they will. Be prepared for a successful impeachment of Trump if he has not already resigned.

          • Steve Maxedon

OK Sam, with the Democrats imploding and collapsing in on themselves, exactly who is going to save us when the SHTF? All you have is attacking the right. You can’t even conceive of an alternative. Come on, use that superior intellect. Tell us how it’s all going to be alright in your world. So far you can’t even think beyond your illusions.

          • nfcapitalist

… and now you’ve gone and hurt my feelings… yawn.

  • Kevin Keefer

In 2015, the Obama illegally funneled money to leftist opposition groups in Israel to help them bring down the government led by Benjamin Netanyahu: $350,000 was given to OneVoice Movement (OVM).
This group wants to bring about “negotiations between Israel and Palestine.” and goes without saying was and is against Netanyahu. That’s bad enough, but leftover money used to set up a leftist election machine in Israel that took on the Israeli leader.
Five American campaign experts were hired. One was Obama’s field director during the 2012 elections.

Obama actively meddled in Egypt’s politics and elections by supporting the fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood. Team Obama was quite candid about that interference.
Yet we didn’t hear one word of criticism from the mainstream media — the same media that can’t stop talking about Russia’s supposed meddling in the U.S. presidential election last year.

Most Americans probably don’t know where Macedonia is, but that didn’t prevent the Obama administration from meddling in that country’s internal affairs. Judicial Watch uncovered the relevant government documents:
The documents] show the U.S. government has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with leftwing, billionaire philanthropist George Soros.
    ..any more questions snowflakes?

    • Sam Jacinto

Time to change your tinfoil hat.

    • nfcapitalist

You are spot on and that scares America’s enemies… stay strong!

  • Sgt. Pepper

    And its a sham investigation.

  • YaPiDo

Tell us ordinary Americans how we can stop these idiots in Washington from doing idiotic partisan backstabbing?

    • nfcapitalist

Demand the truth as to why George Soros finances ANTIFA with impunity… why the IG Charles McCullough wss threatened for bringing up the investigation of Uranium One being “shelved,” why the complete discarded view of IRS dismissing constitutional conservatives issues, , Server with Secret email and destroying evidence, obstructing justice… resist or witness our own holodomor.

  • A marcus Young

That is just the upfront costs. Wait until you see all of the trimmings.

  • Vera Orsova

The cost number, $5 mil, is grossly underestimated. I read somewhere, that Mueller had some 25 lawyers at his team, at $1,000/hr. So, let’s say only 10 of them are senior enough and earn the $1,000/hr. The rest may “only” be getting $500/hr. The investigation has been going on for, what, 8 months? You do the math. They blew $5 mil in the first month. This witch hunt is a pretty expensive toy, but it is taxpayers money, so the left couldn’t care less.

    • jlsharks1

Like your comment but change lawyers to parasite.

  • SaidNO2Liberalism

This whole investigation is a scam when a partisan Clinton operative, Peter Strock, cleared HRC of lying to the FBI while indicted Flynn to the same crime. The FBI needs a complete overhaul in order to restore the faith of the American public. It MUST NOT be politicized!

  • TYvets

Let’s not forget Comey’s comments… the FBI is honest and independent. I flat out don’t believe him.

  • dlnebarnes

Lawers in DC make $500,000.00 per year some make 5 million per year. They have at least 16 full-time layers and each has their staff. 5 Million thus far…LIE. Impossible. More like 5 Million per day.

    • TYvets

Government attorneys don’t make that much.

    • UptownnwotpU

You don’t know much about DC lawyers if you think that’s the case.

The vast majority are making less than 80k and then the ones in firms are only making that kind of money if they make partner and only if they’re very good at getting clients.

The reason why this number is so low is because many of those lawyers are doing this for free because it’s a high profile case.

  • nfcapitalist

Do you remember when you believed the FBI was untouchable… when they were non-political and not shills for the left wing progressives?

    The FBI are CORRUPT!!!!

They have totally ignored Holder letting the IRS undermine constitutional conservatives, Lynch ordering the Hillary Clinton servers holding Top Secret and Special Access information, and hiding Uranium One because they… the CORRUPT FBI believed that The Clinton Crime Familly would win.

James Clapper and Diane Feinstein threatened Charles McCullough, the OIG of all 17 of the intelligence agencies to shut him up when trying to bring Uranium One to the attention of Congress… and what of the Bill Clinton, Loretta Lynch meeting on the tarmac?

The FBI… do you remember when they tracked communists like the WHO tracks ebola?

  • Dell Wilber

This witch hunt has gone on far enough…

  • Section Ate

When’s DTrump gonna go to church & repent?

    • SaidNO2Liberalism

As soon as the Clintons took cianide.

      • UptownnwotpU

I take it English isn’t your first language.

        • SaidNO2Liberalism

You mean smart liberals such as yourself fail to understand what was meant and needed to have an explicit explanation? Say it isn’t so.

          • Vera Orsova

You are asking the poor snowflake to think. Please understand that anyone remotely infected by the left need to be spoonfed. But, don’t him know that. You might hurt his feelings.

          • Sam Jacinto

Liberals tend to know history and believe in science and our democracy. Also we’re not fooled by a lifelong con man real estate developer.

          • Brad

The snowflake liberals need coloring books to get the point across…

Yet their miserable existence still exist

          • Section Ate

That’s because of folk like DTrump others, @SaidNO2Liberalism.

  • Sylvia Avila

What? What a waste of money? Time to STOP! this witch hunt now, Mueller knows already No one is guilty of any Russian Collusion in Trump Campaign people. Mueller should be arrested for his hand in the Uranium One Deal! Has our Country lost all sense of justice? Where is the DOJ or our AG? They both know Mueller just wasting tax payers money! I say STOP! the madness. That money could of gone to the homeless, or children’s charities. It’s the season of giving Not taking. Mueller does not seem to have any common sense or is just in with the deep state gang with the Clinton’s Cabal. STOP! Mueller’s madness!

  • Robert Sigler

Where is the Russian collusion that stole the election from HRC, isn’t this what this investigation is about?

    • Section Ate

No, @Robert Sigler, it was never about the election outcome. (Afterall, HRC won the popular vote). Did I answer your question?

      • TYvets

        knock it off, troll.

        • Section Ate

          Shut up, dummy.

      • SaidNO2Liberalism

Obama won the electoral vote. So did every democrat President winning the electoral vote in the history of the American voting system. Are you certain that we should abolish the electoral college?

        • UptownnwotpU

Yeah, we should abolish it. Not necessarily in favor of the popular vote, but the winner of the electoral system should be an easily articulable thing: “Person who wins the most votes” or “Person who wins the most districts when adjusted for population”…etc.

But not this “Person who wins the most number of votes from delegates who at the time of the constitution were meant to elect based on their own will with the faith of their electorate behind them but today are each held by a separate set of rules by each state in a way that does not represent what the founders intended, some of which can defect for no apparent reason while other are bound”

Elections should be a clear contest that is understandable by the entire electorate.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

Popular votes don’t win the election. Learn it, live it, love it.

          • UptownnwotpU

I said that. I’m okay without the popular vote, but the current electoral college is not what the founders designed. It needs to go back to that or changed through a constitutional amendment.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

There’s a saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Comprendez?

          • UptownnwotpU

What do you mean it isn’t broken? There have been hundreds of faithless electors. That means that a bunch of people we don’t know could legally change the result of an election. That’s a big problem, we need to fix it before it screws our democracy.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

The electoral college has been working for as long as I can remember.

          • UptownnwotpU

As long as you can remember? What is that, three, maybe four decades? Our country is 200 years old and we don’t plan things for decades, we plan for centuries.

It has broken more than 3 times in the last 150 years before H.W. Bush and it is bound to break again.

          • Sam Jacinto

It already screwed our democracy. See Trump.

          • Lee

That is a state issue because the delegates are controlled by the states. So go talk to the states!

          • UptownnwotpU

Abolishing slavery doesn’t win elections? Is that what you’re saying?

        • Section Ate

Did you read me state that, @SaidNO2Liberalism?

        • Sam Jacinto

Those presidents also won the popular vote. Bush (1st term) and Trump did not.

          • Janice Raxter

            So!

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

            Nice try! Now go away!

          • Sam Jacinto

You should introduce yourself to opinions other than those fomented by this crackpot “news” organization. The Electoral College is a construct to assuage and favor the then Slave States. It is an anachronistic abomination.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

            Nice Try! Now go away!

        • ReaganKnewBest

I find it funny how hypocritical the liberals are. I bet if Hillary won the electoral vote and Trump got the popular vote they’d all be praising the electoral college.

      • MJABRTDK

U.S. presidential elections are won by electoral votes and Trump creamed Hillary on the electoral votes. Does that answer your question.

        • Section Ate

Oh, did you forget, @MJABRTDK: Hillary lost?

          • MJABRTDK

If you read my comments I stated that Trumped “creamed” Hillary on electoral votes meaning that Trump won & Hillary lost.

          • Section Ate

Allow me to state it again, @MJABRTDK: Hillary lost the election.

      • Swampdrainer

It’s been 13months. Hillary LOST! Get over it.

        • Section Ate

Fool, I’m delighted the dumb b. Itch lost, @Swampdrainer! You miss her, mthough, huh?

      • David Kaicke

Only with the help of 3M illegal votes in CA. Get over it!

        • Section Ate

Uh, excuse me, there, pad’na, but I ain’t a Clinton fan, @David Kaicke. Never had been! You strike me as a liberal, though.

      • Robert Sigler

No Ate you didn’t, enlighten us. What is your take on Mueller investigation?

        • Section Ate

          It’s ongoing, @Robert Sigler.

          • Robert Sigler

It is the ongoing investigation of what?

          • Section Ate

Well, for starters, @Robert Sigler, Mueller’s investigating ANY: (1) Links and/or coordination between the [“USSR”] & individuals associated with the campaign of Donald J. Trump; (2) Matters that arose or might arise directly from the investigation; & (3) Other matters within the scope of 28 CFR § 600.4(a).

Also, if Mueller finds it necessary & appropriate, he is authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation in these matters.

Did I answer your question, @Robert Sigler?

          • Robert Sigler

He’s investigate any illegal activities with Russians. Got it.

          • Section Ate

Wrong, @Robert Sigler. The word “illegal” ain’t contained; however, Mueller’s authorized to prosecute any & all “illegalities” in so doing.

          • Robert Sigler

So Mueller is investigating activities involving the Russians and the trump campaign in case there was some “illegalities” .

          • Section Ate

And in case there is no wrongdoing, @Robert Sigler. Afterall, it’s what “special prosecutors” do. However, so far, there’s been four “arrests,” two convictions, & two “house arrests.”

    • Sam Jacinto

If you can’t see the signs of collusion with Russia, then you are being willfully ignorant.

      • Vicky DaMota

Yep, Hillary paid for the dossier and colluded with the Russians, you’re right! Lock her up!

        • Sam Jacinto

          Parrot.

      • ReaganKnewBest

What signs of collusion? Was it the 62million+ people that voted for him that were all Russians or was it the electoral college that is filled with Russians? No no it must of been Putin appointing Trump as are President because that is logical(sarcasm). You acting like Russia had anything to drastic to do with the election shows you are being willfully ignorant and blind. Also Hillary conceded anyways so it’s over. You liberal snowflakes need to stop living everyday like the election was yesterday YOU LOST.

      • Robert Sigler

There is signs of collusion but what were the results? Do you know anyone who’s vote was effected by Russian collusion. If it was so bad, why didn’t Obama shut it down?

        • Sam Jacinto

Whether votes were affected does not matter. The intent was to do so. The Russian misinformation campaign could well have influenced voters’ choice, or kept them from the polls. Obama wanted to announce a more forceful warning, but was stopped by McConnell, who told him that it would be undue influence on the election. Trump had already claimed “rigging” – how would he howl if Obama had stepped in?

          • Robert Sigler

Since when did Obama ever care about what McConnell said or what Trump howled about. Obama let a foreign government attempt to influence the election but did nothing because he thought HRC had it in the bag. There were many laws broken in the 2016 election, If Mueller is going to investigate he needs look at all the players who broke them law on both sides of the isle.

          • Sam Jacinto

Let’s blame Obama for Trump’s transgressions

          • Robert Sigler

            OK

      It was supposed to be…….

  • C B

So now that they have worked their way back to Hillary Clinton , Eric Holder , Obama and the DNC in general , they want to end the probe .

    • kaiju

Mueller’s probe is a wasteful Trump impeachment attempt. Sessions on the other hand is doing serious damage to the leftists. No you won’t hear that on the news and Sessions is doing a good job of keeping leaks shutdown.

      • C B

I hope your correct and I have a feeling that you are …………

  • Lorie Barnett

That’s still a lot less than Trump’s golf weekends have cost.

    • SaidNO2Liberalism

How come you didn’t voice this same nonsense when your messiah was golfing?

      • Lorie Barnett

Well, it’s not nonsense when Trump has already played more golf than Obama did in his entire 8 year term. I wasn’t upset that Obama occasionally golfed. Why would I complain? I’m not a right wing zealot.

        • SaidNO2Liberalism

It’s “President Trump”. And for the record, I despise leftwing liberal lunatics, such as yourself, with every fiber of my being.

          • Lorie Barnett

No, but I am an honest person…right wingers were wrong to complain about every golf game and every vacation when prior president’s had spent so much more time vacationing…and now playing golf. It’s like you people live in an alternate universe where you make up your own truth. I’m also smart. Smart people don’t go along with the mob when it’s wrong. Everything I said about myself is the truth. I’m liberal on some things and conservative on finances, taxes etc. I’m not a left winger and not a right winger.

          • Lorie Barnett

He’s not my president. He is a joke.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

And you should renounce your citizenship and leave my country, immediately!

          • Lorie Barnett

Pfft. How childish. Are you sure you’re not twelve?

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

Sometimes 12 years old are much smarter than liberal lunatics. You are a disgrace as an American.

          • Lorie Barnett

No you are…but what am I?

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

            “You people”? Nuff said.

          • Lorie Barnett

Yes, because you are on the radical fringe as well as many of the others here…you people.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

Your liberal existence offends me tremendously and it’s unfortunate that I cannot take matter into my own hands

          • Lorie Barnett

What would you do if you could?

          • Sam Jacinto

The infinite tolerance of the right wing nut class.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

Guilty as charged. I am extremely intolerant against liberals and leftwing lunatics such as yourself. Everybody else has no problems from me.

          • Sam Jacinto

I’m sure you are a pleasant neighbor in your homogeneous surroundings.

          • SaidNO2Liberalism

Yet you continue to talk to me. Why?

          • Sam Jacinto

To be entirely accurate, it’s *President Trump.

    • Swampdrainer

What cost? President Trump has foregone a salary and he plays on his own courses at no cost to the taxpayer. How is that more than the Mueller investigation and the congressional sex slush fund? That’s $20 million of taxpayer money we know of and probably a lot more we don’t know of.

      • Lorie Barnett

Gees, I guess I need to explain it to you. Every time he travels to Maralago his staff and his secret service detail have to travel also. His security detail is very expensive to transport. It is estimated that it costs 3 million dollars each time he goes there.

        • Swampdrainer

The President is required to travel on Air Force One. It’s normally a 747 with plenty of space for staff and secret service. Operating costs are the same per flight whether one person or 100 are on board, but significantly less cost to fly to Florida than it is to fly to Hawaii, which is where Obama chose to vacation and play his golf.
What about secret service costs when former Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama play golf? Are you concerned about that? That is also paid for with taxpayer dollars.

          • Lorie Barnett

What aren’t you getting?? Trump has played more golf than any of the last presidents combined. So, of course he will waste more tax payer dollars than anyone else. So please spare the whataboutisms.

          • Swampdrainer

Are you upset with him playing golf, or that he’s spending weekends at home with his family?

          • Lorie Barnett

No…just pointing out the hypocrisy of people like you that were so indignant regarding Obama playing golf but could care less when Trump plays golf more than any other president. So what was it about Obama playing golf that upset you so much when you are so accepting of it now?

          • Swampdrainer

My initial comment was about the $millions being spent on a Russian
collusion investigation that has turned up nothing and the $millions
spent on settling sexual misconduct claims against our elected
officials. You seem to be the only one upset about golf and the cost to the taxpayer.
Please point out to me where I’ve been hypocritical, indignant or upset about Obama, or any President, playing golf. My comment about Obama’s golf weekend at a private course in Hawaii costing more than one in Florida that President Trump owns, is just plain common sense. The $3million per golf weekend cost that you quoted, was apparently based on an estimate in a WAPO article about a golf weekend Obama took in West Palm Beach.
The average cost of a Trump golf weekend is well under $1million, but 98% of that cost has nothing to do with golf. It’s the cost of flying Air Force One and security detail. It’s the same cost the taxpayers incurred when Obama flew around the country on Air Force One campaigning for Hillary.

          • Lorie Barnett

No, I’m still pointing out your hypocrisy that you would be complaining about 5 million dollars for the Mueller investigation while expressing no indignation about the costs the Trump is racking up at the golf course. I just used my crystal ball to find out that you did complain about Obama playing golf. You were very upset about it..and you know it. Those figures you quoted did not cover all if the costs of his trips to Maralago. They are around 3 million each time. You used a right wing conservative fact checking site (not a reputable site) to get your low number. Golf is not what gets me outraged…it is the hypocrisy.

          • Lorie Barnett

Also Obama spent the Christmas holidays in Hawaii with his family every year. It is is home state. So…”Are you upset with him playing golf, or that he’s spending weekends at home with his family?”

          • Swampdrainer

I’ll say this one more time and then I’m done – Golf is used by many executives to conduct business in a relaxed atmosphere, outside the confines of the office. President Trump uses golf for exactly that purpose.
There is a significant cost to transport the President (any President) – mandatory use of military aircraft, secret service, presidential limos, helicopters, etc. as dictated by Congress. That cost of travel is accepted by most taxpayers as a need to protect our President and for national security. Whether the President travels to Florida, New Jersey or Hawaii on business, to spend time with his family, or travels to Houston or Puerto Rico to talk to flood victims, or overseas to meet with foreign governments, the aforementioned costs are still there.
If the President (any President) chooses to play golf, or chess, or tennis while on these trips, the incremental cost of green fees or tennis balls is insignificant. Travel and security is where the cost lies.

The Mueller investigation has so far racked up over $5million in cost and has uncovered nothing regarding Russian collusion. They are continuing the investigation in the hope they can find something and are racking up costs in the process. As i commented in a separate post, the cost is a total waste to the taxpayer if nothing is found about Russian collusion, but could be money well spent if it uncovers evidence that brings about convictions for illegal dealings by other “government officials”.

          • Lorie Barnett

Maybe you haven’t heard there have been 2 indictments and two guilty pleas so far and there will be more…so, I hear you saying…money well spent. Collusion isn’t a crime…so because ya’ll keep saying there is no collusion that won’t mean a thing when they put together the puzzle pieces of conspiracy.

  • a voice of concern

how many Trumpi=Bears could you buy with $5 mill?

  • DrSheilahere

Let Mueller pay it back. He has done a terrible job; disgrace.

  • a voice of concern

yep, The FBI set up the entire scam. They knew everything every one did on the Trump team because they ILLEGALLY wire tapped all of them based on a bogus report that they PAID for along with the DNC.
In the end Trump can pardon him like Bush Sr did with the Iran Contra BS.

  • Ed L

5 million dollars can an lot of food for the poor

    • daniel miller

But only a dozen steak dinners for the Washington Lawyers. LOL!

  • Butthep

    Let Bob Mueller pay back.

  • Richard McMeekin

Patriot Link – Amen! And one was sentenced to 5 years in Federal Prison Today in Jacksonville, FL.
She created a fund which was to provide educational aid to young people. Corrine Brown, former member of the Black Caucus spent the bulk of the money on herself and friends, including taking folks to the Super Bowl. She will very shortly be behind bars.

The only concern I have is whether or not they changed the rules after I left as a Republican US Senate Chief of Staff during Watergate. I did my 1 year sabbatical in DC and left!!!

Back then she’d do her time while her $117,000 annual pension check was deposited to her bank account every year. When she got out back then it was as if she’d never done anything wrong! Not certain, but I believe in 2007 the “go to jail free and still get your $$$$$” policy was finally rescinded. In the previous decades, as usual the taxpayers were picking up the tab!

I called her at home once and she was indignant! “Where did you get my unlisted number” she screamed. “From your mother I answered.” She hung up! Needless to say I am not saddened that her past has finally caught up with her. Actually prison food should suit her quite well.

  • brandehhh

Only 5 million? A lot more is wasted elsewhere on stupid stuff… Is this done yet.

  • redheadgirl

    Worth every penny!

  • eladtoor

    WOW!! FIVE MILLION $ !!

    THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY!!

BUT IT’S ONLY A THIRD as much as it might cost taxpayers to pay off Congressfolk who get diddled against their will by other Congressfolk under their ‘SEXUAL HARASSMENT BILL!!

Do you suppose this bill is just a scam that allows congressfolk to happily diddle each other in the Bahamas or the Caymans, and have US taxpayer/suckers pick up the tab for the sex trip when one or the other of the f**kers falsely claims “HARASSMENT??’

  • Libhunter

God Bless America, President Trump & our soldiers.

  • iwontell

Well for those that don’t know – – – The FBI and Starr spent $145 MILLION investigating the CRIMINAL OLD HAG in the Whitewater SCAM…………..so $5 MIL this time is small potato’s but of course still GROWING.
As of now some have estimated that the “F” CLINTON’S and their SCAMS being investigated is approaching nearly $500 MILLION………..and the THUGS are still out on the street.
Time for a PUBLIC HANGING……….before America goes Bankrupt trying to nail the SCUMS……….

  • Serge

This hoax costs Americans much more. It is designed to sabotage our economy, which it successfully does.

  • Sui-Juris

$5millions to tell us that the Obama admin, the Clinton campaign, and the DNC were complicit in colluding with Russia to frame the Trump campaign for colluding with Russia. Can we send that $5millions plus bill to those in the Democratic Party?

    • iwontell

IF we tally up the THOUSANDS OF MAN HOURS in these “INVESTIGATIONS”, the cost of SPACE the MORONS take up, the daily PAY of the FOOLS………hell it costs the TAXPAYERS that much every week……….OR MORE>
Someone calculate the Daily Pay for all the FOOLS to set up there with their MORONIC QUESTIONS, day after day and see what that COSTS………..Interesting challenge.

    • daniel miller

      Good tweet.

  • Aldo

    Go after the REAL criminals

    • iwontell

Starting with the CRIMINALS IN DC

  • Swampdrainer

$5million spent on uncovering nothing about Trump and Russia, but could be money well spent if brings about convictions for the Clintons, Obama, Comey, Rice, Lynch, Podestas, etc.for the illegal Uranium One deal.
$15million of taxpayer money spend on congressmen sexual misconduct settlements should also be investigated and offenders made to repay the taxpayer. That’s not what our taxes are for.

    • WitchWay

So far, he has not said anything about investigating anything to do with the Clintons, the Obama Administration or any of the Directors of various Agencies who we know are guilty of egregious actions that more than likely were illegal.

      • Janice Raxter

No he hasn’t & won’t do it against his Criminal buddies. What a waste of taxpayer money. He must have needed the money to pay off his snitches to get him out of hot water! Somebody fire his a$$…….

        • WitchWay

I foresee a lot of shakeups after the holidays. I just hope that the public is ready for all that may be hung out on the line.

      • Pete Greco

Mueller covered up 911 as FBI Director with real investigations and has a history of being on the corrupt side of things. Not many can be trusted in government. He was Comey’s teacher.

    • coolflannelcat

Clinton will never be prosecuted. She is untouchable.

      • kaiju

Let’s not sow disillusion here. We’ve got to keep reminding everyone of her crimes constantly until justice is served. Mueller is a lib and isn’t out to get Clinton. He’s out to get Trump.

      • Swampdrainer

Sure is! Bill hasn’t touched her in over 25 years.

      • jlsharks1

I am afraid to say I think you are right. That why the Swamp needs to be drained.

    • Living in the Times

Well stated! Why should we the taxpayers beheld responsible for paying for the misconduct of our government officials? In our society, we are simply fired from our jobs for such actions. Maybe government should follow suit and, as you stated, make said violator(s) responsible for the cost!

  • Roscoe

This investigation is based on FakeNews reports on a fake dossier over a faked connection between Russia and Trump. So far they have indicted nobodies associated with nothing associated with Trump and Russia. Russia. Stop the investigation as Mueller himself is involved in the FBI scandal.

    • TexasDeplorable1134

Agreed, it has now shifted from Russia collusion, to a obstruction of justice as Trump fired Mueller’s BFF for his incompetence in the Clinton email “matter”.

      • Gerald Fields

Yes, they saw that Trump had the balls to fire Comey and the rest of the swamp rats got scared because he’d come after them next, so they created a special prosecutor to have a defense against Trump. These people should all be put in jail! MAGA!

        • TexasDeplorable1134

Agreed, but that does not get them off the hook. Mueller dropped the ball (by someones request) on the Uranium One deal which he is going try to pin on Manafort. I suspect that the DOJ will be going after someone next. Who, is the question.

      • Roscoe

They can not get an obstruction of justice charge for the president doing what he is authorized to do. Trump should fire Mueller and appoint Steve Bannon as special counsel and see how the DemoRATZ adjust to that.

    • Harley

And now for certain you are going to get a fake release of a fake total of how much has been spent.

    • daniel miller

Take a look at Mr. Rosenstein’s antitrump retweets on Mr. Rosenstein’s twitter page.

      • Roscoe

Daniel, I am an old stubborn man and I don’t Facebook, Tweet or use any social media other then texts and E mails. To use anything else is cross over to the Dark Side.LOL!

  • Art Ready

democrats rob that much money in an hour

  • Marilyn

    Mueller needs to step down

    • A marcus Young

He was never up. The DOJ needs to end the investigation and say “thank you for your service”, then start indicting the last administration,

      • coolflannelcat

But apparently our DOJ is weak and possibly beholding to the Clintons.

    • Kevin Keefer

Mueller needs to fall down in front of a fast moving subway,

    • Janice Raxter

Mueller is up to his neck in the corruption of the FBI & Clintons

    • Concerned

Agreed, Trump cannot fire Mueller (Dems would have a field day), but after a six month investigation and millions of $$ spent without any tangible evidence of Russian Collusion he need to stop this charade and step down.

  • PatriotInk

$15,000,000 here, $5,000,000 there, $2,000,000 for the study of sex habits of the South American tree frog…The waste is as deep, and far reaching as the swamp they have comfortably created for themselves. It all adds up to a government that embezzles from the public trust, and line their own pockets with OUR MONEY…

  • kaiju

But, But, we’re about to get information from a confessed liar!
