National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster has some stern words for Trump administration staffers who leak information to the media.

“I think what’s very important is that everyone that’s involved in these sort of policy discussions understand the sacred trust that is placed in them and they realize that speaking to the media about government deliberation is treasonous when it involves national security,” McMaster firmly stated.

McMaster made the comments Tuesday during a panel discussion at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

Press leaks have become an issue with the Trump administration’s 367 member National Security Council.

McMaster has begun to reduce the number of members on the council, and has required remaining members to undergo new training on handling sensitive information.

President Trump needs to start a new blog that publishes every single thing every politician and gov worker communicates every day. at the end of 30 days the public can vote on who to fire for wasting taxpayer’s money on doing nothing.

  • JohnGalt11

This will only sink in when a traitor is executed. Lots of targets, get on with it.

  • a voice of concern

First I am amazed that Henry is still up and about doing his thing! Regardless of any like or dislike you have to believe the guy is one of the most literate, cognitive thinker alive and was Nixon’s best cabinet pick!
Now, I find it also amazing that every single member of this group is not monitored 24/7 with encoded communication keys so that any one providing information on any device is tracked and jailed immediately.

Control of classified matter is a lot bigger problem than it appears on the surface. If there’s a document involved everybody in the word processing center has access to it. If that document is to be transmitted someplace, everybody in the sending and receiving message centers has access to it. Use the mail? There are strict rules about what can and cannot be mailed and how to do it. You can’t just stick it in an envelope and send it on it’s way. One of the reason Clinton user her own servers was to avoid all that. Usually the word processing centers and message centers are pretty safe because the shear volume of classified matter they handle precludes much reading. A large message center can have backlogs of over a hundred messages at time. A couple thousand messages a day is not unusual at some commands.

  • town22

The mole will exist as long the media is willing to publish their stolen documents.

It pains me to see this old booger muncher Kissiger still hanging around. I think he died years ago, the FRC just dresses him up, put a little powder on his ugly mug, and drag his smelly corpse into these globalist dog and pony shows.

How do I flag and block this troll? I’m still new to this computer stuff and really don’t know how. There are so many trolls on some of these sites and I really don’t want to see their crap.

When you put your mouse pointer to the right of the name and timestamp, you will see a -, and a little flag. Click the flag and follow the directions. They will be just below the comment.

          • My Head

Can someone please explain to me the NEED for 367 people on the NSC?

This is in addition to the 18,000 in the D of S, and thousands within the NSA, CIA, and DIA.

What on earth could all those people be doing, and why couldn’t it be done with significantly fewer people? There has to be MASSIVE overlap in functions of these agencies.

Makes you wonder how many “Departments of Redundancy Departments” there are. It is no freaking wonder we are in debt up to our posterior “department”

    • PGCDan

I wouldn’t doubt the overlap. Inefficiency is the definition of government.

    • PITA 13

They have all those folks to watch us, “we the people” and not the bad guys (or gals) that want to do us harm.

    • Diane Coto

  • Bull7822005

367 members in the NSC?!? That seems too large by a factor of like 20….

  • Christopher

We live in a country we’re its hard to tell the difference between republicans and democrats. I believe it’s to late for the country to change because most beauracrats have been indoctrinated once they enter public education and college its scary sometimes how people truly believe what some of these teachers and professors are teaching them they are taught that if you are a republican you must be a racist which none of that’s true but people are bullied into going with the flow. My point is the leaks as long as any true republicans serve as president we as republicans are doomed and the leaks will continue because they believe there patriots.

  • MikeyParks

Great. So what’s going to be done about it? Nobody’s gone to the slammer yet. Just a bunch of toothless blather.

      • PGCDan

Yeah, that’ll never happen, regardless of how many people have been killed because of that program and the forced walking of guns. Unfortunate, and infuriating.

“PGCDan” … Ya know … all it would take is JUST ONE get nailed and hammered for this type of foolishness.

  • Pezgun

Time to serve up the Barium meal.

  • Good. Let’s see some arrests!

  • KristenSuzanneM

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t former General McMaster an Obama holdover, himself? I don’t believe he should be accosting anyone about this because eight years of the Obama regime and this particular attitude and method of operation was commonplace within Obama’s own administration. Many people used their own access to classified information as a reason to pass it on frequently to the NYTs and WaPo, despite the fact that it was illegal and uncalled for. And after four years of Hillary Clinton as SecState, when it was obvious she was selling out American secrets for money and prestige, these comments are just an incident of too little, too late. General Flynn was the man for this job, not McMaster. IMO, of course…

    • MikeyParks

McMaster should be the first to go. Why Trump is letting him stay on is the mystery of the century.

      • KristenSuzanneM

Not as mystified as I was…and one has to wonder why everyone that was anyone was so anxious to dump General Flynn…they (the establishment apparently) couldn’t wait to get rid of him…I think I know why…he actually understood what Islamic terrorism is all about and the root cause of it…and he wasn’t afraid to say so…time to get him back…

  • John Titor

We don’t have to be transparent about National Security Strategy or Measures. It’s how the United States of America is safeguarded. Those that leak confidential material to the press and hae a position of trust must be prosecuted!

  • John P

Some jail time for leakers and the label of traitor to Your Country will get everyones attention. They also need to prosecute the journalists that print it as well.

    • Roy Beane

THAT would be GREAT to see a so-called “journalist” arrested and put behind bars for aiding and abetting these criminals.

      • PGCDan

Unfortunately freedom of the press and current precedent protect them from that in most cases.

        • My Head

Freedom of the Press does not cover journalists who knowingly publish classified. – With respect to governmental information, any government may distinguish
which materials are public or protected from disclosure to the public.
State materials are protected due to either of two reasons: the classification of information as sensitive, classified or secret, or the relevance of the information to protecting the national interest.

          • PGCDan

Incorrect. Those lines are not as clear as you believe. You may want to talk to DSS about your understanding of the press handling and releasing classified information. Only in rare cases where there’s an egregious breach of national security, does the government have a chance to prosecute them. I’m guessing you don’t remember the Plame affair which was leaked to the New York times, Reality Winter who leaked to the media, Edward Snowden who leaked to the Washington Post, the Pentagon papers that got leaked to the New York times, all of which not one reporter got prosecuted.

  • John P

If they worked for the Obama Administration then fire them immediately and replace them with patriots.

  • Roy Beane

2 things should be done about this………(1) cut down the number of people handling classified material down to the bare minimum necessary to get the country’s business done (after rigorous background checks and lie detector testing before allowing them in the room. And (2) If any leakers do appear after these security measures are implemented, make SURE that punishment and jail time HAPPENS after a speedy fast tracked trial. When they find out they WILL be caught and punished for this crap, they won’t be nearly so anxious to spill the beans every chance they get.

    • from THE 3rd PATCH

Its just like “building the wall”, “deporting DACA Kids” ……… all they have to do is …… S T A R T !

  • Javanne

Maybe the leakers can be useful. Identify them and then arrange for them to acquire information they’ll deem embarrassing to the Trump administration, but which can be easily disproven after the media puts it out. Thus, the media will be embarrassed and trusted less by the public and it will be less likely to put out unverified stories. Once used like this, fire those leakers. Prosecute them if they leak information they know is classified.

    • PGCDan

That happens all of the time now, and hasn’t stopped them.

  • PADon16

With 367 people – it is going to leak, especially when a lot are Never-Trump holdovers.

  • jenshadus

WH needs to clean house and get rid of everyone. Most of us on these comments could replace the traitors and probably do the same work, and keep our mouths shut.

  • conquest915

What I would like to know is how many of these leaks have come from him and his staff. Quite a few I would bet. We know he has no loyalty to Trump and the current administration.

  • Tim maher

I certainly hope they find who the leakers are and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

  • ray

Find the leakers .. or just one to start with .. throw the book at him/her with prison time/.. and the leaks will stop .. if they don’t stop .. find the next and prison time also … eventually the other leakers will be easy to spot by the wet pee marks in the front of their pants. If it is a member of Congress .. we want to know who it is so that we can spell his/her name right in the history books as a traitor.

    • Captain America

      Agreed!

  • Vernon Yost

Sounds like a one way trip to Gitmo

  • Heddrick Steel

    He’s right, of course.

    • jacobum

…of course….unless he is the leaker. Then it is called patriotism..

  • brandehhh

In some ways, there are way too many secrets in the US government. Then it gets leaked from foreigners and the American people get slammed by it. But then again, national security is important and not revealing to other countries, ie NK, our plans can hurt us. Its a thin line.

  • Pat Lehne

perhaps cut down the people in your circle as to who is allowed this information. benefit would be easier to find the leaks too

    • PGCDan

Selective sharing of a false story would fix the problem. Tell a couple of people one story, wait a few days, and see if it comes out. Then on to the next. It’d be kind of fun too.

  • GovtCtrlIsSlavery

“speaking to the media about government deliberation is treasonous when it involves national security”

Yeah you can eat and entire back of diicks on that. This National security police state secrecy MUST GO.

    • ray

You are a fool … this is not a national police state .. but your hometown if Russia might be.

  • Sui-Juris

The types of people and the numbers who have had recent access is definitely the problem. Too many seeking to embarrass the President rather than strengthen the nation. Shameful. And yes, treasonous.

    • Roy Beane

Like a spoiled brat that keeps getting away with bad behaviour without punishment, these leakers don’t really believe they will ever be caught and made accountable for their crimes, yes their CRIMES against not just this President, but this COUNTRY.

      • Sui-Juris

They think they are protected. They have seen others of their ilk protected by Party and media and expect the same for themselves.

        • Roy Beane

What really makes my blood boil is the way the media and others want to portray these creeps as “heroes” for being outright TRAITORS.

          • Sui-Juris

The left media doesn’t care one way or the other. All they care about is that they can blame Trump at the end of the day.

          • Roy Beane

True. And at any and all opportunities they can find.

        • Richard Hill

Correct but they have no legal protection for their acts. Members of the Intel Community do have have whistle blower protection and they signed a non disclosure agreement which provides criminal penalties for violations. It just needs to be enforced a few times for the leaks to stop

        • HarryObrian

So, about that unprotected email server in Hillary’s closet with State dept TOP Secret documents on it and on Anthony Weiners phone??… and where is Huma hiding these days??… {crickets}…

          • Sui-Juris

Ssssh! Be patient, the Clinton Foundation will get some money to you. LOL

    • Serge

These perverts keep forgetting that the president was elected by Americans. Acting against this president is the same as committing an act of treason against American people and the country. Hollywood or DC are not America, you know.

      • Sui-Juris

Obama sent an EO to all federal agencies telling them to become involved in his fight against the evil Republicans. Said it was their duty. His foot soldiers in the ‘deep State’ are carrying out their fuhrers last message.

    • Small

Not long before the end of his term, Obama made it possible for everyone and their pets to have access to secret information. He is a traitor and should be in jail.

      • Sui-Juris

Yes, and we are dealing with the fall out now. And since the left will close their eyes to it. Like they did for the entire eight years of the Obama administration. The left media get to blame it all on Trump. Because they’re all about truth and justice and fair. LMAO

  • John Smyth

Shoot a couple of them-I’m serious firing squad for the next one caught. I’ll be the firing squad

  • willnkc

The hold-over from ODumbo’s admin are behind the leaks, and this guy is just another moron trying to stir up trouble by feeding into the media’s fake news problem.
