After losing the French presidential election, far-right candidate Marine Le Pen wins a seat in Parliament for the first time in her political career.
However, President Emmanuel Macron and his allies came out as the big winners with results showing they now control a majority of Parliament.
This will give the French president authority to push his pro-business reforms, but political experts say the results have to be taken with a grain of salt.
This belief comes after more than half the population abstained from voting in the second round of the country’s most recent election on Sunday.
