Israeli media reports the country’s Air Force conducted strikes against military facilities in Syria near Damascus.

Satellite images show the Israeli Air Force targeted suspected Iranian bases in three villages outside of the capital city.

This comes as Israel is getting increasingly involved in the Syrian conflict in order to counter Iranian military presence in the region.

At least seven structures, that appear to be barracks and garages, were destroyed in the airstrike, while another three were damaged.

Israeli officials say they will take the necessary steps to keep their border and citizens safe.

Following the strikes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he won’t allow Iran to “entrench” in Syria.

  • Mitchell Jennings

Rock on Benjamin. Israel is extremely fortunate to have your fearless leadership ala Churchill as we in the US are with (thank God) DT at the helm.

  • humptydumpty

At least Israel no longer has to worry about being outed to Iran by the traitor and chief Obum. Now Israel can take care of business! And business looks to be good!

  • Skinznut63

I was in Beirut in 1983 and when we got there the Israeli Army was occupying southern Lebanon. While they were in country there was minimal conflict. However, as soon as they withdrew all hell broke loose. A short time later they rolled back in and everything got quiet again. It was very impressive. The militias there didn’t seem to be concerned with the Marines most likely because of the restrictive rules of engagement that were in play. Israel’s rules of engagement are quite simple, if you mess with us WE WILL punch you in the mouth as hard as we can. They do not play!!

      I like Israel’s ROE!

  • Moshé_007

more than 110 Israeli strikes in Syria since 4 years, all of them 100% successful !
When Syria tried to respond with S-300 Russian made ground-air missiles, Israeli Air-Force disintegrated 3 launching systems worth nearly 80 million dollars each !
Dramatic for Russian arms dealers !!

    • akafett

Israel definitely gets their money’s worth out of their superb pilots and USA made equipment.

  • No Mas

This is the kind of border security we need… armed and ready… shoot to kill invaders and threats to our great REPUBLIC!

  • akafett

As much as I am a fan of the US Military, I have to admit that Israel has the best recon, the best intel operatives, and the most respected (feared) air force on the planet. I’m glad they are on our side.

    • Living_The_Dream

The respect comes from not playing politics before taking action. They’ve mastered their military objectives, because their enemy hasn’t changed in over 2,000 years; only technology. The other item of note, they use U.S. aircraft, primarily the F-16 and F-15, as well as U.S. helicopters.

I don’t know if people remember, but several years back, the Palestinians locked up and killed a couple of Israeli police officers. I was impressed that Israel responded with helicopter gunships, and took out the Palestinians responsible for killing the (two) Israelis. If only our law enforcement would respond to criminals who kill police. One could only hope.

      • akafett

All true. They also don’t hesitate doing what others may see as “crossing the line” when it comes to their own security. Read about operations conducted by Mossad and their elite commando units (if you can find anything). Israel has definitely earned their respect.

      • Mr Krabs

Police gunship helos would definitely put an end to high speed chases

      • larryjcr

The IAF is now operating F-35s, and seem to be quite satisfied with them.

        • Scott Snerd

how many of them took part in the recent raids? ZERO, id bet.

    • Just A Guy

I disagree. It’s just that US pols misuse and abuse our military and have recently attempted to reduce it to less than Boy Scout status. The US military is the greatest fighting force on the face of the planet as long as it can elude liberal social engineering. That’s one of the reasons the US remains the greatest nation on the planet. And that’s a dammed fact.

    • southdfw

No country compares to the US.
We do it all with one hand tied behind our backs, standing on banana peels, worried some liberal idiot will hold them responsible for defending ourselves.

      • Living_The_Dream

I would agree that the U.S. possesses the greatest Military on the planet. I don’t know of any other countries that call on Israel for support, their forces are very effective at protecting themselves. The world, however; depends on the U.S. of A, to flex it’s muscle when evil men get into power and attempt to take control. Now if we could just get rid of the evil in the U.S. congress, we’d be far better off.

  • Houtex77

The King of Persia and his hordes will be destroyed when they try to attack Israel.

  • Living_The_Dream

I am always impressed with the way Israel responds to threats. Talk about a country that doesn’t play around.

    • Lightninbug

Ain’t that the truth. The old cliche, “you snooze, you lose”, has never been more true than it is when an enemy is in close proximity as are the many enemies that threaten Israel.

  • deadandwicked

Good Job BB. High respect in defending your people and your Land.

  • Robert Sigler

Israel is warming up for when Iran buys nukes from NK with that 156 Billion in fun money Obama gave them.

    • Mr Krabs

Israel is waiting for Iran to get everything in place before they’ll strike… And I’m pretty sure they won’t be concerned about the ‘environmental’ impact of the strike.

    • Lightninbug

Iron Dome certainly had a better chance of intercepting incoming Iranian missiles that would be launched in Iran than they do with a launch from near the Syrian/Israeli border. Israeli intelligence services will never take their eyes off the Iranian presence now right next door to them and they will always destroy threats to the security of their nation.

      • Robert Sigler

        As it should be.

  • Theo Stall

Israel is the ONLY country that will protect itself in the *real* world. Iran, Noko, Yemen, and the pother terrorist middle -east countries need to get spanked too!!
Trump is trying to protect America–GIVE HIM THE CONGRESS HE NEEDS IN 2018 !!!!!
61 Senators and 300 in the House!!

    • Lightninbug

I truly wish this were possible. The deadlock must be broken!

  • PatriotInk

There is no “suspected” to it. When Israel strikes, they KNOW…

  • Steven

Now that IS border security! Take note !!

  • ElGordo!

great job mr. prime minister Netanyahu, at least YOU have the balls to do what needs to be done!

  • GBWO

Action is what Iran understands, not a pallet load of cash.

    • kaiju

Iran probably built that with cash BHusseinO sent them.

      • USAagainstGlobalists

It would have been fun to at least get to blow it up since we paid for it.

  • Ed L

    Good for them
