OAN Newsroom

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee claims everyone is losing patience with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

In an interview on Saturday, Huckabee said Sessions must do the job he was appointed to do which is to universally enforce the law.

Huckabee adds Sessions should be prosecuting Peter Strzok and Bruce Ohr for their roles in the Russia probe, but could be holding off so he is not perceived as having a political bias.

Although, the former governor says that’s not what the American people want.

“I don’t know if he is fearful of getting into areas where he’ll be accused of partisanship, but this isn’t about partisanship, this is about justice. And the one thing I believe most Americans want, except for the extreme maybe on the left and extremes maybe on the right, who don’t want their people to be touched, the fact is we just want the law to be equally applied.”

Huckabee’s comments come after President Trump recently said, Sessions is not as loyal to him, as Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder was to the former president

  • Roy Beane

Sessions is clearly not up to the job of being AG, and needs to resign NOW. He can’t even find his own azz with both hands, he is so intimidated and scared to death of Rosenstein and the deep staters who have taken the DOJ away from him.

  • Walt Corcoran

I’m no lib shiz but leave states rights alone

  • Laurie Jones

@Ginette…would have to agree. First thought he was a great asset, but he’s proved me wrong…shame on me (naïveté?). Time for Sessions to go.

  • Lenny Woodson

We have a highly corrupt Justice Dept and FBI. Time to take it back folks. Lock and load, it could get ugly.

  • WNR

Can someone please tell me what happened to William Campbell’s supposed testimony on Uranium One? Has he even been seen on Capitol Hill? Why isn’t BB or OAN hammering this? Has everybody got amnesia? Doesn’t this seem, at the least, odd?

  • Clinicaleducator1

WRONG guy for a tough job. Needs to be replaced and I’m certain he will be.

    • slohunter

      Judge Jeanine foe AG.

  • ArmyAviator

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, was a loyal Trumper during the election. But now, old “Beau,” is nothing of the sort! Governor Huckabee is correct, in that the PEOPLE want justice and Old Beau, is not doing his job of enforcing the law and PROSECUTING those who violate it!

Time for Beauregard, to return to Alabama with his tail tucked in tight! As a AG, the man is worthless…if I’m wrong, it’s up to Beauregard, to prove it!

  • Barfax

Marvin K. Sessions please go now.
    You may go by boat.
    You may go by goat.
Marvin K. Sessions please go now!

  • Americas Greatest President

    When does sessions vacation end

  • Wanda

Republicans just don’t seem to have the stomach for going after democrats. You can bet that if the roles were reversed the Democrats would be full throttle going after Republicans. And with the media’s help they would be able to make it up as they go. Just look at what they are accomplishing with a made up Russian Dossier. Kinda sad for all of us.

    • Re

You are right. They would bad mouthTrump till the end of time. We should be bad mouthing Hillary about uranium one . Lock her and her troop up for the rest of her life. hide the key.

  • TwitterFace

By far the biggest disappointment in the administration.

    • Wanda

Starting to look that way. Maybe it will change.

  • WestHoustonGeo

I like to think that Sessions is quietly working on indictments for obama, hillary and all the corrupt underlings (what a legion they be!) and he will suddenly erupt with “perp walks” for all of them.
But, I reckon that might just be wishful thinking.

    • landwell

That’s possible; the DOJ Inspector General Report will be issued in January. I like to think Sessions has been laying low while an air tight case is being built.

    • michaelparsons

I’ll not be surprised if the GI exonerates all the criminals.

  • landy fincannon

Personally, I find it hard to trust Huckabee after he throw in his support for Common Core

    • Sons of Liberty

      Nobody’s perfect.

  • lohchief

Just my own opinion, but I would love it if Trump would fire sessions, and replace him with Trey Gowdy.

    • Sons of Liberty

      Gowdys a chump. All talk.
Mr.Tough Questions himself and hasnt subpoenaed or indicted anyone even though Congress could have at anytime.
He’s just another lawyer. F him.

      • Richard Einstein

You are absolutely correct. The sad part is that Gowdy is one of the better members of congress. Although he gets nothing done, he actually does expose criminality in government.

    • Richard Einstein

The problem is Gowdy is buddies with most of congress. He totally backed treasonous scumbag Mueller who covered-up the 9/11 false flag attack and Comey. That shows Gowdy has very bad judgement or he is one of the treasonous scumbags himself. Gowdy does put on quite a show but never gets anything done.

Nearly every member of congress has refused to speak out about Obama’s forged documents which is an act of treason. They have all taken part in the cover-up of one of the biggest crimes against the American people in the history of our nation. No more congress critters in the Justice Department. Hell NO!!!! We must clean out the cesspool of DC! We have a lot of treasonous scumbags to hang!

      • landwell

That’s right go outside of Congress.

Ken Cuccinelli, or Kris Kobach – or maybe get a short list of Judicial Watch people from Tom Fitton and go from there.

Problem is the Senate would most likely not confirm anyone they see as a corruption fighter.

    • landwell

Gowdy is all bark, no bite and would need to go through confirmation – I don’t see the Senate confirming anyone they think would actually indict the Swamp dwellers.

I think he can make internal shuffles to his cabinet though. Make Sesssions EPA Secretary and had DOJ to Pruitt who was AG of Oklahoma.

      • lohchief

Just how much can congress actually do in terms of all these investigations? Holder was found in contempt of congress and nothing happened. I don’t know and that’s why I’m asking.

  • Sons of Liberty

Sessions is a career man. Swamp dweller all the way. He cant bring himself to unleash hell.
Because thats what its going to be.

  • Richard Einstein

We don’t need nor do we want another politician as our attorney general. We need an honest patriot who isn’t afraid to take on the elected criminals in our government. This is the only way we will drain the cesspool in DC!!!

I say that Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton would be an awesome Attorney General. We must have somebody who has proven they have the courage to take on the criminals in government. We can’t have another criminal from government who will protect his fellow treasonous pedophile scumbags in congress.

    • Sons of Liberty

      No more lawyers. Period.

      • Richard Einstein

There are a few good lawyers out there but very few. I am afraid we need somebody who is familiar with legal proceedings and the laws to clean out the treasonous scumbags in our government. One thing for sure is that they can’t be a professional politician.

This is why Tom Fitton would be a great Attorney General. He has sacrificed his entire life to fighting against political corruption, he is good at it and he has a proven track record. Tom Fitton has proven beyond all doubt he is on our side..

  • TexanForever

Many, many years ago there was a cartoon character named Caspar Milquetoast (look it up) who was hesitant, weak, overly cautious, and ineffectual. Sessions reminds me of this character. If he won’t un-recuse himself and can’t bring himself to do his job, with gusto, he should get the hell out of the way and make room for someone who will. He’s damaging both Trump’s reputation and the nation.
    .

    • Vera Orsova

I agree that his ineptness is causing a huge damage to Trump’s administration. I honestly don’t understand why the President is letting it slide.

  • julia garcia

I am for judge Jeanne for AG. Jeff Sessions could very well be a Soros mole, the way he is been behaving from the very start.

  • shafawn

Jeff Sessions … you’re burning daylight. You’re dragging your feet. You’re not doing what we expect you to do. If you can’t do it we will expect you to be replaced

  • Beaula

Give it a rest people! Sessions hasn’t been in office a year! I don’t believe that even our President knew of such wanton corruption, until he got in office in January, and saw for himself! Sessions stated, a month ago that he has 27 investigations going on! He, himself has to deal with “hold overs” as well! It’s a den of snakes, that he has to deal with!

  • AtomicFury

I can understand and accept his reluctance to proceed with investigations of Strzok and Ohr, especially since the leftist press is poised to jump on every molecule of a hint of partisanship. But it is his job to investigate illegal action. So, I somewhat agree with the headline, but do so with a little more patience.

  • Re

I think sessions is trying to be the good guy. Dragging his feet on Hillary. The IRS etc .not the rooster that he was going to be.

  • Michael Klevins

Sessions is a wimp and weak. This was apparent some time ago!

    • Sons of Liberty

Climbing up onto that stack of lawbooks to see over the desk every day must be hell.

  • astroalice

You can also email the press office of the Department of Justice at Press@usdoj.gov .

  • Mike Drop

The Sessions appointment has been a total disaster. Not only do we have a deep state swamp rat for an AG we lost a seat in the Senate as a result.

    • Jim

Lesson for future – plucking senators for cabinet or other appointments is probably not a good idea.

  • Jim

This is a little tricky. If/when he resigns, Rosenstein would be the claimant to acting AG until a new leader is confirmed. Confirmation will be dicey in the congress, especially with only a 51-49 majority in the senate (which includes loonies like Collins,Flake, Graham, McStain) and we definitely don’t want Rosenstein in charge. So…. what to do? Not an easy situation, for sure.

  • Jim

The DOJ is starving for leadership and AG Sessions is not providing it. Please resign so we can get direction in that dept and its FBI

  • James

Jeff Sessions is a yellow bellied coward who should step down. If you don’t have America in mind above party. The job isn’t for you.

  • Mike Drop

Sessions is too busy worrying about medical marijuana to investigate real crimes.

    • whoselineisitanyway

      OBSFUCATION

  • ReedJW

He’s just following President Trump’s guidance when he said after the election he had no intentions of investigating Clinton. I think his tweets to the contrary are more for his base than anything else. Aftrerall , Sessions does work for President Trump

  • MikkiDean

Is Sessions part of the coverup? Is he obstructing justice? The country is waiting.

  • foty5

I really liked Sessions, but i am extremely disappointed in his lack of action on corruption in the DOJ and FBI.

  • Sonny Shaw

Well this is what you get when you choose the oldest swamp creature to run the DOJ… Plus I’m starting to believe that Obama’s insurgency is blocking anything that would hurt the ex president.

    • Vera Orsova

      Bingo. 100% agree with everything.

  • sanman99

No kidding, WHAT has Sessions done about ANYTHING?

  • OkBobOk

Jeff Sessions is part of the old boy/girl network. He is not going to prosecute anyone from the swamp. DJT needs to pull his head our of arse and fire Swamp Creature Sessions.

  • Ron Harvey

I think it is time for the President to choose a more loyal AG

    • Disgusted Caucasian

To bad Dinesh D’Souza isn’t a prosecuting attorney. He already knows what all the rats have been doing.

  • DrMitoFit

Attacking prosecutors was Nixon’s downfall. I think Trump is getting better legal advice. Since Trump knows he did not collude, he expects complete exoneration from Mueller. If any charges are brought (doubtful) they would be easily contested/appealed considering the proven FBI bias. Once the case is closed, Sessions and Trump can clean house.

  • Javanne

I lost patience with him a long time ago. Hey, Trump! WHERE IS SESSIONS?

  • astroalice

Ron Rosenstein was investigation leader of the FBI Russian Uranium One work (circa 2009) – Rosenstein and then FBI director Mueller likely conspired to suppress the study findings to ensure the Clintons got their $145 million – William Campbell was the FBI plant in the Russian operation – He will testify before congressional committees in a few days – If the Clintons don’t have him Arkansided, we should be well on our way to seeing some jail time for Rosenstein and Mueller

For this conspiracy to not notify the Congress and CFIUS of the corruption around Uranium One, both Rosenstein and Mueller are likely felons……….and not only fired, but indicted.

    • nfcapitalist

Think about it… Loretta Lynch, the Attorney General of the USA meets with Bill Clinton who is under investigation for Uranium One, money laundering, and treason for profit… in secret on the tarmac in Arizona… the United States of America was hijacked by the Communist Party and the DOJ/FBI are LOST… Don’t have a Clue as to how to TELL THE TRUTH AND DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!

  • Mark648

Sessions has always impressed me as one lacking in fortitude.

  • fatboy46

Go Huck!! Sessions has done diddly-squat. I suspect that he is part of the swamp… covering for his buddies

  • Gyst53

Either for rule of law or fear of repercussions or incompetent!
You decide and write your Congressman or President for immediate action!!!

  • Redduke

pretty clear that his loyalty is to the institution and not to the “rule of law”, I will give him more time but not forever. Investigations take time and just as we are disgusted over a weaponization of the legislative branch he is avoiding that on the right. Good morals, bad tactics.

  • Fuytf

Sessions myself hell of a day when it’s windy but those Dumbo ears

  • LeaderOfTheBanned

But… but… but… these things take time! LMAO! Sessions has been napping since he was appointed. He only wakes up long enough to promote asset forfeiture and to re-criminalize marijuana. He can’t be bothered to indict Hilary or Holder or Lynch or Barry. What a disappointment this doddering old man is.

  • MJABRTDK

I totally 100% agree with Mike H . Get the job done or resign … how long does it take ?

  • No Mas

Jeffy seems scared to upset the gators in the DC swamp and or scared to not be liked and accepted by them.

JEFFY IS A DISGRACE TO ALLOW THIS CONTINUED CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR IN DOJ AND FBI WITHOUT A PEEP OR ACTION TO STOP IT!

He needs to voluntarily resign and not force Trump to ask him to step down.

  • TwoElks

Starting ?? Sessions is a huge disappointment and should have been replaced months ago. He turned out to be one of the worst choices in the Trump administration ! Perhaps Trey Gowdy as his replacement.

  • Dan

Sessions needs to find two balls and step on a rake just saying he’s a wimp
Get rid of him like yesterday.

  • Lee Vincent

Neither loyal to Trump nor to the America people who expect equal justice under the law.

  • 🐯 TigerBear 🐻

We lost all patience the minute the keebler elf recused himself and left our President undefended and wide open for the rabid jackals! Hatred towards him is beginning to brew. We are just appalled and shocked at the levels of corruption right under his nose and he is worrying about reinstating an unconstitutional law of civil forfeiture! HE HAS GOT TO GO!!!

  • youareok100

Remember Rudy Giulianti wanted the job. Go Rudy!!!

    • nfcapitalist

Trey Gowdy should have this position…. or Jim Jordan.

This is the lesson when appeasing and compromising… choosing a professional politician for a job that needed a law enforcement oriented mind.

  • nfcapitalist

Must be hard knowing that your Department of Justice has been filled with criminals… guess Sessions surrendered to the majority. Take names and investigate each one of them from place of birth to yesterday and start at the top… anyone who cheats is fired and blacklisted from any position in government… ever, no excuses, no exceptions.

    • Vera Orsova

He might have to investigate himself.

  • Deny

Justice would be nice. I like Sessions but what the hell is he (NOT) doing?????? Time to arrest some of these dumbocraps –starting with killery!

  • Richard McMeekin

Mike Huckabee is merely passing the word to Sessions to get off home plate. POTUS should not fire him, but using outside criticism can let Sessions know he won’t be around this time next year. Politics 101. If Sessions is fired, the RNC and powers that be know they will lose Alabama to the liberals in the upcoming mid-terms. So it’s the lesser of two evils until after November, 2018. Then SS (Sayonara Sessions).

    • Vera Orsova

Alabamians are as disappointed with Sessions as the rest of the country. I know. I live here.

  • Phil

In defense of Trump, he did try to appoint Rudy Giuliani, but Rudy said no. The AG’s job in the process of draining the swamp needs to go to a raptor–a hungry T-rex.

  • mrapp769

Sessions is just another member of the DC club. Holder and Obama got away with all their transgressions because they were Black and Democrats.

  • Tom Horn

Exactly what would be the process for replacing him and realistically how long would it take.? We certainly dont want rosenstrin in charge for ANY amount if time. He should be fired, too. First!

    • Phil

There is no “process.” Trump simply says, “You’re fired!” Then he nominates a replacement and the Senate confirms.

  • Bill Cape Coral

Sessions has been a huge failure as attorney general. They have filed four charges against former members of the Trump campaign as Mickey Mouse as those charges are yet Jeff Sessions refuses to file charges on real crimes that occurred during the election where liberals tried and are still trying to remove a legally elected president.

Jeff Sessions needs to be fired and replaced with someone who will do their job.

  • Jay77

This all the more reason to elect conservative republicans in office so the corrupt dems do not get back in office. The Dems do not have the vast majority of Americans interests.

  • Jay77

Jeff Sessions needs to step up to the plate but one thing is deeply disturbing is that the Deputy Attn General Rosenstein is part of the problem in that he and Comey and Mueller may all be in this mess together.

  • Marc – Tribunus Plebis Trump

i’m not pleased with sessions either BUT i will give him the benefit of the doubt that he’s slow, methodical, and thorough … the DOJ will not be able to prosecute the swamp creatures easily .. it cannot just be prosecuted in the courts .. it must be prosecuted in the public forum as well .. not an option there .. i think most in the public, except the typical rabid leftists, are seeing the corruption across all our institutions .. since we’re not going anywhere .. lets observe what happens in this new year .. President Trump has and continues to build a broad spectrum of support showing how he IS and CAN save america .. soon there’ll be enough folks supporting him that hanging the stuttering affirm&shyative action mon&shykey and hitlary the cu&shynt will be acceptable

  • hiplainspedler

He needs to put Jay Sekulow in as AG. NOTHING gets past that guy.

  • Derek Dominico

Trump should put Huckabee to replace Session!

    • Phil

Although being a lawyer is not a formal requirement for the job in the sense that there is a legal obligation for the President to appoint a lawyer as AG. But somebody who was not a lawyer would find the job virtually impossible, since the AG is supposed to oversee the Department of Justice, which is responsible for enforcing many of our most fundamental laws. And without that kind of background, a person would not be able to perform the functions of the position. Mike Huckabee is an ordained Southern Baptist minister, not a lawyer.

      • Derek Dominico

        Good point. Thanks.

  • internettoughguy

Trump cultists are wildly misinformed about the extent of Executive Branch power (as well as many other things). They seem to think Donald Trump can just fire Jeff Sessions and “appoint” anyone he likes to replace him. That’s not how it works.
The president doesn’t appoint the Attorney General. He nominates him. The Senate has to approve the nomination and there is no way they’re going to let Trump install an obedient lap dog who he can sic on his political opponents.

  • Either Sessions starts producing or he needs to resign and the President put in someone who will get the job done! Remember, Sessions has been there for decades and is part of the Establishment! And please, use an EO to place Term Limits on Congress, since those Fools will never control themselves! It may get their panties in the twist, but if they don’t like it, they can resign! Time to MAGA!

    • internettoughguy

An EO to place term limits on Congress? You’re making a joke right? No one could really be that ignorant.

      • Your not very good at sarcasm, are you, son? But it would get wort

      • As I was saying and was cut off, it would get the worthless Congress panties in a rage, which I would love to see, just to piss of the brainless Liberal idiots. Are you one of those idiots are a Conservative? Conservatives are usually good at sarcasm, whereas, the Snowflakes suck at it, lol!

    • nfcapitalist

Maybe he needs to be reminded that he’s in charge of the Department of “Justice?”

      • FLLoeffler

CORRECT ! Sessions works at the pleasure of the POTUS, not the Dept. of Justice! O.K. Mr. President please replace this road block in the path of “JUSTICE FOR ALL”!

  • internettoughguy

These are frightening days for anybody who cares about American democracy and the rule of law. The idea that the Attorney General should be a henchman for the president, “protecting” him and using the law to go after his political opponents is completely alien to every principle this country was founded on.
Democracy and the rule of law are not compatible with Trumpism and the cult of personality. One must die so the other may live.

    • wiser2game

@internettoughguy you must have had your eyes closed for eight years.

      What you just posted
“The idea that the Attorney General should be a henchman for the
president, “protecting” him and using the law to go after his political
opponents is completely alien to every principle this country was
      founded on”.

This was happening under President Obama administration with AG Eric Holder. You only see what you want to see and yes it’s frightening days for those that thought/think they are above the law.

  • Asher Cain

Sessions really needs to be fired.

  • Expat47

If y’all are “just starting” y’all’ve got a whole flock of catchin’ up to do.

    • internettoughguy

      What?

      • Expat47

Wha, Mr. Huckabee says that folks are “astartin’ to lose patience” when Ah sez thar’s many a folk what done lost patience with ole Jeffy not adoin’ his job a long time ago.

        That’s what!

  • Clearlysane

Sessions has gone way out of his way for this to be simple cowardice. The man must be dirty. Either he can implicated or someone can ruin him. The only way out is to resign.

    • Deny

Ted Cruz is a GOOD choice!!!!!

  • Scott

Sessions is nice guy but he is TO sensitive to political forces he is not strong enough to fix DOJ, FBI corruption in DC for they have gotten to him with fear. He is in fear of the Swamp for he has been TOLD to not do much and to stand down or else for he will have to face the media coordinated with the DNC talking points. If he does anything to hurt Democrat elites strange things will happen to you. He just does not want to be part of the investigation for it will cause bankruptcy him that is what DC DOJ and FBI does to honest people they hurt them.

The media will take him down and he does not want to do that he needs a new job that it. Sad he is a nice but Media is Democrat and corrupted and will lie about him and anyone that is with him.

We are dealing with very bad people like the Clintons and money to form DC power.

    • nfcapitalist

Sensitive… he is that. When what need is tough as nails solutions.

      • Scott

Your so right but the problem for the President is the sensate Democrats at the time of Session appointment. Session was a Senator and every one liked him even Democrats for he worked with him and he FELT they were even friends what a surprise he got but they made up.

Just listen to the Black Democrats saying all types of lies about him but he was nice guy in the Senate and every one knew he was good. President knew he had to get someone in that they could not take down but not realizing he was not up to clean house in the DOJ given the level of corrupted lawyers in the DOJ which Sessions is lawyer i believe. Politically it was smart for the time and not realizing he was good talker but not so much on doing he is lawyer and we all know they talk really will but doing can be a challenge,

I really think the President did not realize how weak he is to stand up to all the corruption he has in the DOJ and still does. DOJ lawyers job are protected by the Democrats that is how they got the job just like all the lawyers on the FBI investigation are Democrats they made the hit squad to produce Propaganda for the Media against the President so the Democrat can say impeach him base on fake stories and lies. They want him out at any price.

Sessions is not strong enough in action or the DOJ is so corrupt they got him tied up with them for DOJ lawyers have NO fear of him or the President because the Democrats will protect them with the media producing fake stories like they are doing know.

The President needs to build more strength politically for it takes a lot when dealing with the SWAMP for there is so many of them in Government and Media down to the state government. Give it time People need to understand the need first for media is covering it all up for the Democrats. The President is strong and determine to bring back America values of God and Country and citizenship. He is so clear on that.

  • Shmacks Adventure

I was hoping when Trump said drain the swamp it meant not appointing creatures that have thrived in the swamp for decades. Get someone from outside and get rid of these clowns McConnell needs to go as well.

    • internettoughguy

Donald Trump did not appoint Mitch McConnell and has nothing to do with whether he goes or stays. The president does not appoint cabinet secretaries. He nominates them and they have to be approved by the Senate.

      • Robert Adams

FYI, McConnell is not a cabinet member, he is an elected US Senator, chosen by the electorate of his home state.

  • harrydweeks

Former Federal PRocesutor CHRIS CHRISTIE–would throw them ALL in

Christie would LOVE to make his bones indicting Obama.

    • internettoughguy

You know something pal? You’re nuttier than a fruitcake.

Ah…excuse me….but Christie is a one of the largest swamp rats of the entire republican establishment.

“On January 15th, 2018, the Department of Justice Office of Inspector
General Michael Horowitz will deliver approximately 1.2 million pages of
documentation and evidence gathered in the year-long investigation into
the politicization of the DOJ and FBI, by senior leadership and
upper-level career leadership lawyers and bureaucrats.”

This should be the deciding factor with Sessions and everything else. Everyone knows by now Mueller has nothing but isn’t going to give up his $$$M for coming up with nothing. This doesn’t even include Uranium One or Obama’s cancelling the FBI’s investigation into Hezbollah so he could get his Iranian deal.

I’ve just had a feeling Trump isn’t unhappy with Sessions, he would have made a bigger deal if he was. But, i could be wrong.

    • internettoughguy

      Uranium One? Come on man.

  • Pirate Bill

Oh, please…windy words for the air. Every American understands that there is a two tier justice system; one for the average Joe and none for the elite. Surely, Mr. Huckabee, having once been a member of that club, knows this.

  • RosieDa’Pig

I think people are already out of patience with Jeff. I’m surprised at what a huge disappointment he turned out to be.

  • Vera Orsova

I have been saying for a few months that Sessions was either bought, or libturds had something on him, and someone who occasionally appears here as “kaiju” attacked me, accused me of being a Democrat in disquise and said my negative comments were harmful to our President. Since it’s been a while since I saw anything from him, I think he was practicing the lefties strategy of accusing others of what they themselves are doing. But in any case, Jeff Sessions seems to be the biggest obstruction of Justice. He has been protecting Obama and his gang of merry mafiosos. He should be let go immediately, so the President can start the New Year with a clean slate.

    • nfcapitalist

I think politicians and their bureaucrats are protecting their rice bowl… they justify that simple self-serving strategy by saying they must protect the authority and respect of America’s image.

  • NFL_is_dead_to_me

It appears that Sessions is intentionally trying to delay the truth about many things from coming out. What does he have to hide? Bad pick Mr. President, to clear the swamp you need to bring in an outsider as AG.

    • billy roche

I agree; an outsider, but who. You spent political capital to get Sessions confirmed. Why can’t he propose a permanent head of the FBI. Why does there seem to be no progress on leakers. Is he effective in other areas??? Maybe Guiliani would have been a better pick.

      • Richard Einstein

Guiliani? Are you joking, Mr 9/11? Guiliani deserves nothing less than to hang for high treason as he took part in the 9/11 false flag and the cover-up. Every member of congress who took part in the cover-up of 9/11, Oklahoma City, Sandy Hook, Obama’s forged documents and other crimes against all Americans deserve to hang for high treason.

We have a lot of treasonous scumbags to hang!

        • billy roche

          Are you nuts?

    • Tino Lamber

If it’s one thing I’ve learned about Trump. He learns very quickly from his mistakes and goes full on to correct them. Sessions better watch himself. He’s a damn fool if he thinks he will get away with his treacherous ways.

  • TYvets

  • PatrickJ

Please forgive me, but knowing Trump, I thought he would fill his Cabinet with meat eating dinosaur types.
He knew going in the type of opposition he was going up against. I would have thought that he would have gone for the blood of his enemies early. In my opinion, he was influenced early on, to tone down his rhetoric and play nice.

Biggest mistake he made, going in. Because he was not elected to play nice. He was elected to be Donald J. Trump.

    • Vera Orsova

      Well said. The best comment.

      • PatrickJ

        Thank you, Vera.

    • BethLC

I believe that he stepped back in order to get his footing. He has had a lot of monsters to slay. Now that the mainstream media is a dying animal, and totally discredited, he is moving onto bigger things. He has accomplished a lot and every day it just keeps getting better! #MAGA

    • Mr Springfield

He’s learning. Remember, he’s not, “one of them”. He’s not happy with his AG pick and has said so probably trying to light a fire under his a$$

          • RuthAnn40

OK, I get what you’re saying; except that Eliot Ness was an agent — used to go after Al Capone and the Mob — watched the show with my brother. I guess using him as an example because he always got the bad guy is good.

Please excuse me all to Hell, but I want an Attorney General with some guts. I was going to say something else, but I realized that comment would not make it to the boards.

Sessions was a Senator, and like most senators they are inclined to protect the institution more than they are to protecting or enforcing the law equally.

Could it be that Trump and Sessions don’t want to tip off the perps as to their plans to finally get them? That’s the only reason I can think of why Trump hasn’t fired Sessions yet.

  • aldoro

FIRE sessions. Get someone in there that has a set of balls. Like TRey Gowdy. Even Sarah Palin has more guts then sessions.

    • donnieboy64

gowdy is a GOPelite do nothing failed rubio supporter.

      • Twinkle Toes

He is not failed. He is the only one who stood up for 3 Americans murdered by HRC and O in Benghazi.

        • BethLC

And, accomplished nothing. All talk, spent a lot of tax payer money, acted so tough, but did nothing. When Hillary got to the stand to testify, he was a wimp. All that he did was kiss her butt! It was sickening. Trey Gowdy is from my home state and I would fire him in a skinny minute. He is just one of the elite voting for bills to get his elite health care paid for by the American people!

          • Floridastorm

Sadly, I have to agree with you. Actually none of those in Congress have done much about anything for 9 years and counting. Not one indictment. Not even one arrest for ignoring or not answering subpoenas. They use their positions to rave and rant and then nothing comes of it. If I were Donald I would give Sessions 48 hours to clean out his desk and then replace him with either Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, or Victoria Toensing. All of them tough as nails prosecutors. Then the new AG would immediately fire Rosenstein and then get Wray to fire McCabe for malfeasance so that he cannot collect his retirement pay.

          • Richard Einstein

Absolutely no more like Giuliani who took part in 9/11, or the cover-up as they all deserve to hang for what they have done. They would never prosecute the other criminals in government.

This is why we must have somebody who has proven himself, somebody like Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton! I suspect there are a few others out there who might qualify, however there are very few to choose from.

Then they must be approved by the elected treasonous scumbags in the senate. Now that is a major problem we must somehow overcome. The senate would never approve an AG who will prosecute and hang them. However President Trump could declare martial law and then congress would be banned from meeting for six months. Only then could Trump could appoint a real Attorney General so most of the criminals in congress could be arrested to be sent to Camp Gitmo for quick military trials and their immediate executions for high treason. No appeals and no delays, just kill em all! Problem solved boys and girls!

          • Twinkle Toes

I didn’t see him question HRC so I’ll have to take your word. On the flip side, he hammered the Benghazi issue and it was not his fault that HRC covered up, and didn’t answer questions. Also remember That awful puke O REFUSED to answer where he was that night. There is an approximate 12 hours that his whereabouts is unaccounted for.

          • whoselineisitanyway

            He was talking to

        • Marilyn

Deep state plant. To protect Hilary and obama.
            Certainly loyal to them

          • SumThinFlishy

Yes he was planted as insurance. The deepstate took the bait and will lose. Trump forced them to sacrifice the senate vote Sessions once held. He would have voted against MAGA such as not allowing Trump appointments when out of session. Moore was a set back, but it will only last until 2018 midterms. Trump plays chess, the deepstate plays checkers. Evil is banal and predictable.

        • Tino Lamber

I always believe Sessions was a plant in the Trump campaign. Sessions works for Soros and the bush crime family. Trump found out about it and went nuclear on Sessions. If Sessions knows what’s good for him, he will resign IMMEDIATELY. Don’t poke the bear, Sessions!

          • cabbage

I said two months ago he was a plant and was laughed at and told to not be stupid….oh well

          • WNR

Not me, one of so many plants that the operative word is garden. McMaster, Rosenstein, Kelly’s DHS plant, probably Kelly himself, Christopher Wray and old Jeffy boy. If my man Trump is playing chess he is close to being checkmated by taking advice from slimy traitors to his Presidency. I think he finally seems to get this but he still gets jobbed by his advisors and constantly puts previous administration’s garbage back in play. To be honest, I still think he wavers due to his political past being like a pro-business Democrat. That stance is now a joke in Nazicrat land but is subtly what defines a RINO these days. It is not hard to see the real DJT in his tweets, but Kelly is quietly killing nationalism with his advice. It has got to be Kelly that is smilingly backstabbing Trump. POTUS has to see it or he thinks he can’t get a better Chief of Staff, which is bull. To me this is the A#1 problem with Trump to me. This disloyal charade is in hopes of a Nazicrat House in 2018 shutting down all Deep State investigations, it has GOT TO BE THAT. With these appointments in place he is neutered. The Senate will stay R, probably even increase in majority, but they are gutless punks owned by the federal bureaucracy. It is so obvious to everyone that the Deep State supporters will fight to the death on this.

        • TwoInchPattern

Unless there’re no better choices when the time comes, I’m not so sure we want him back in the Senate, now that his true colors have emerged. We already have too many Establishment Republicans opposing Trump.

          • All American

True. Sessions inability was unexpected but I do clearly recall the “Rights” desire to appoint Rudy Giuliani.

She not an idiot. You fed from the MSM/liberal trough on that propaganda.

          • Seth Martinez

No one loves Trump more than me. But Palin is an idiot. Look at her performance during the 2008 campaign – If she wasn’t an idiot, she would have won that race.

          • Jenny O

Not sure how loving Trump is relevant…
I remember Palin during the 2008 campaign. She was the VP nominee, not president.
JOHN MCCAIN LOST, not Palin. Palin was the only reason McCain had a chance.
I stand by my original comment, i.e., you bought into the twisted lies and deception of the MSM/leftist propaganda machinery. You know–the fake news that maligns and misrepresents Trump at every opportunity.

It’s not really necessary to say that about him, he does need to step down but he is not corrupt or a bad person. I truly believe he just doesn’t have what it takes to deal with the problems left to us by HRC and O.

      • Twinkle Toes

Christie ruined his reputation due to Sandy and O. He’s toast.

    • ImStillaYankee

Sad part is, Sessions doesn’t even have the balls to resign, saving the President the trouble.

      • HarryObrian

Sad part is there is nothing Sessions or anyone can do. Even if they expose the total corruption of the deep state there is no way to prosecute any of them, their benefactors and the secret court wouldn’t allow it.
We can all sit here and be Monday morning quarterbacks but the reality is that if Sessions could actually do something he would and anyone else they put in that position would be the same.
People don’t actually realize how much damage has been done to the country and the faux government since 9/11. Thanks to the display of total disrespect to Congress from the likes of Lois Lerner and Comey it has become obvious that Congress is just a puppet show for the sheeple to think they’re actually doing something. They’re really not the ones in control anymore.

Appoint an independent special counsel to investigate the Justice Department/FBI officials. That would eliminate Sessions from being accused of being bias. It is way past time to clean up the Justice Department and FBI and to prosecute any illegal activity that may have occurred.

An independent special counsel needs to be appointed to investigate biased Mueller.

I agree having thet DOJ, FBI IG investigate their own dept is a joke. They are going to investigate people they know and socialize with give me a break. What will be the finding in all of these so-called IG sham investigations Bad judgement but nothing criminal. That statement should sound familiar that is what the FBI said about Clinton

No more “special counsel’s” they screw all of U.S. in the end. Their power is outside of ANY controlling entity and thereby emperor like. We need no kings. AG just do your job. Forget recusal, never HAD to do it anyway

Sessions should recuse himself from office, forget the probes. If Sessions had done what was best for America, he would have re-run for Senator in Alabama and resigned from the State Department! He would have won Alabama back for the Republican/Trump agenda and a real Attorney General could have been appointed that Trump would have known would have kicked ass!!!
