Republicans on capitol hill are doing all they can to help jump start construction of President Trump’s border wall.
The House GOP stripped a provision in the annual defense bill proposal which banned the Pentagon’s funding from being used to build the wall.
After an eight-to-four committee vote the provision will be taken out of the National Defense Authorization Act when congress adopts the rule on Wednesday.
More than one billion dollars is being added to the bill for construction costs, and more border agents.
With funds for the proposed wall now in the budget, the president is another step closer towards fulfilling one of his biggest campaign promises.
