Graham’s ‘Final Thoughts’ – November 15, 2013

Obamacare and the U.S. Constitution.

How in the world is Obamacare constitutional? How in the world is a president who picks and chooses pieces of a law to enforce acting constitutionally?

How did we get here? The answer to the last question first: We got here because Americans have been “dumbed down.” There are enough Americans out there who simply don’t know, or don’t care, about the constitution. They don’t know, or care, that the law of the land is being violated. It’s sad, but true.

The progressive liberals took over the education system decades ago. All levels of it. They have changed the curriculum to fit their radical agenda. Thus, we now have the ignorant masses, from sea to shining sea.

When you have five, six, seven generations of people who have been taught that math is subjective, who have seen the difference between right and wrong blurred over and over…well, we get this.

We get a good portion of 300 million people who can be controlled. They can be manipulated. They have no moral compass.

So, when the U.S. Supreme Court issues a decision, like it did on Obamacare, the reaction by the people is not outrage. It’s a shoulder shrug.

Of course, when Chief Justice John Roberts shredded the constitution to find Obamacare constitutional many of us were outraged…but not enough of us. Not enough Americans were called to action because of that ruling.

There is no doubt that Obamacare is unconstitutional. No doubt. Nowhere in the constitution does it say that the government can compel a citizen to purchase something.

Ah, but Roberts contorted himself, and the constitution, to say Obamacare is a tax. It’s not a tax. Forcing you and me to buy health insurance, even if we don’t want it, is not a tax. It’s an action. It’s a private sector transaction.
Now, that leads us to this president and what he has done with Obamacare. Enforcing parts of it. Changing other parts of it. Just yesterday, “dictating” that insurance companies go back and enter into a private contract. Ordering insurance companies to sell you a policy.

This is so far beyond the confines of the constitution it’s laughable. However, no one is laughing. No one is challenging Obama on it either.

We, here at the Daily Ledger are calling him on it. What’s more, we call on congress to have the guts to start impeachment proceedings right here, right now.

If not to remove this president, at least to educate the people that what Obama is doing is nothing short of putting the U.S. Constitution into a giant, government-run paper-shredder.
