After the meeting, GOP leaders said they discussed tax cuts, including larger paychecks for American workers and more prosperity.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for better cooperation between parties to get things done in Congress.
House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy met with the president at the White House following the luncheon.
