1 Person Dead, Several Injured After Bus Plunges into Ravine in Ala.

One person is dead and multiple people are injured after a charter bus veered off a major interstate and into a ravine near the Alabama-Florida state line.

Authorities say the driver of the bus was killed, and at least 20 passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Police say at least 45 people were on the bus when it swerved off Interstate 10 and plunged 60 feet into a ravine Tuesday morning about 30 miles east of Mobile, Alabama.

The charter bus was reportedly traveling back to Texas after a trip to Disney World in Florida.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
