At Least 4 Dead After Shooting in Canada, 1 Suspect in Custody

One suspect is in custody after a shooting leaves at least four people dead in Canada. The deadly incident happened Friday morning in the eastern city of Fredericton.

The identities of the victims have not been released, but authorities said two of the people killed were police officers.

Police are warning individuals to avoid the area, but say the situation has been contained.

Officials have not released any information about the suspect.

The city of Fredericton is located about 50-miles northeast from the U.S. border of Maine.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is following the situation closely and has offered his condolences to the families affected via Twitter.
