The man accused of attacking Kentucky Senator Rand Paul pleads not guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge.

Rene Boucher entered his plea Wednesday in a Kentucky court.

The 59-year-old neighbor allegedly tackled the senator in his yard last Friday.

Paul suffered six broken ribs, three displaced fractures, and had fluid build-up around his lungs.

Boucher’s lawyer said the incident has nothing to do with politics, and instead called it “a regrettable dispute between neighbors.”

Boucher faces up to one year in jail if convicted.

His pretrial hearing is set for November 30.

  1. a “spat” between “neighbors”.
Let’s struggle to be clinical and objective, ok?
    It just stinks!!!

Would only be a misdemeanor if he plead guilty pleading not guilty will carry a bigger penalty due to going to court

  3. This guy even looks like Putin!

  4. This seems to be a trend, Republican leaders shot during a baseball game, Republican concert viewers mowed down in Vegas, Republican Christians mowed down in Church all for no particular reason and now Rand Paul with broken ribs for no particular reason.

Another deranged Hillary voter who can’t accept Trump and takes it out on an independent.

    Expect more like this.

Rand Paul needs to think about carrying a weapon while mowing his yard in the future.

  7. Rand Paul has proven to be truthful even when it hurts him politically. But seriously, #getalawnguy

He pleaded “Not Guilty” because he knows our Judicial system favors the criminal and will minimize punishment if he’s found guilty. Was updating our insurance coverage a few weeks back and our agent told us of an experience she had. A guy was trespassing (probably illegally hunting deer) on a client’s property and broke his ankle. He sued the land owners and the judge awarded the criminal (trespasser) $10k from the land owner. Our Judicial system is corrupt at best, and if you know someone in the system, you can get away with murder.

  9. “pleads not guilty ”
These lawyers/parasite are part of the problem. People can do whatever they want and instead of taking responsibility for their actions. They hire a parasite to bail them out even though it is blatantly obvious that they are guilty. That why these parasite go into politic they would sell their mothers up the river.

  10. With all that damage to Senator Paul’s body, is it a “misdemeanor” charge? Something is dreadfully out of whack here!

On the other hand, even if there’s a “smoking gun,” as it were, the accused has a Constitutional right to plead not guilty. It is our presumptuous habit to convict in the media, regardless of the person’s actual guilt or innocence. It’s supposed to be a trial by judge and jury (if the accused requests a jury), not by the media. Just because we think he’s guilty and should be charged with a felony rather than a limp-wristed misdemeanor doesn’t mean that what should lawfully be done, if there is any law left after the extreme abuse that the Constitution has suffered.

This is just another symptom of the times we are in, coming up to the return of the Master Yahusha (Lord Jesus) to set His throne in Jerusalem, ISRAEL, from where He will administer peace on earth, making His enemies His footstool (Psalm 110), judging and making war in righteousness (Revelation 19:11) until He makes the kingdoms of this world the Kingdom of Yahuwah and of His Messiah (Revelation 11:15).

    HalleluYAH and amein!

  11. Who broke the 6 ribs of Rand Paul when Rene Boucher says he is not guilty?
Why is Rand Paul “not” fighting back?
    What’s going on?

  12. Burrito Jackson | November 9, 2017 at 11:20 pm |

If Peolsi had 6 ribs broken that guy would be sent to death row. Where is Sessions in protecting law and order? Does he think the Russians were involved and recused himself again?

  13. SaidNO2Liberalism | November 9, 2017 at 9:12 pm |

Was Boucher yelling “Allahu Akbar” during the assault? Sounds like leftwing nutjobs have a lot in common with radical Islamic terrorists.

  15. Send to jail. I hear Bubba is looking for a new butt boy

  16. Personally, I feel sorry for Rand Paul, When this upcoming lawsuit is over he will have two lawns that need mowing and two houses to keep up and pay property taxes on.

  17. A marcus Young | November 9, 2017 at 5:53 pm |

He is going to regret it alright. It was assault in the 1st degree. He was stupid enough to attack a sitting Senator. That makes it a felony.

  18. elevenoclock | November 9, 2017 at 5:39 pm |

Rand better do a civil suit after this fool is found guilty and take this moron liberal to the cleaners.

Take every dollar this deviant has and use it to win elections.

  19. Gatorade… h2o… gaaaatorade… H2O…

  20. Looks like he might have short man syndrome.

  21. Not guilty?
So. Is it Rand Paul who is guilty?
    Of what?

  22. Of course. He was only following orders from the democrat national socialist party leaders.

  23. I too enjoy the occasional good natured rib-breaking and effusion-creating tackles against my neighbors – preferably when they don’t expect it and are looking the other way. We typically sit around afterward having a good laugh while waiting for the ambulance. It’s not “assault” at all – what an ugly word. I’m in 100% for the good doctor – hope he gets a reality show gig from all that makeup he’s wearing in the photo above.

Now that the sarcasm is over, I hope this piece of excrement gets his charges bumped up once they have a look-see at his computer and question others. Once federal investigators get involved (fed charges coming) it’s a whole new ballgame. You can toss those flimsy local misdemeanor assault charges away.

    LOL

  24. Pat Danenberg | November 9, 2017 at 2:39 pm |

He calls breaking 5 ribs a regrettable dispute & he shouldn’t be guilty of assault just for that. ??????

  25. Mao'dreh Mal | November 9, 2017 at 2:28 pm |

I thought I read one time tht boucher dislikes the grass clippings coming onto his lawn…kentucky blue grass?

  26. Richard McMeekin | November 9, 2017 at 1:46 pm |

Why won’t someone tackle Chuck Schumer? But then I can’t imagine him mowing his own lawn.
    Just a thought.

    • Mitchell Jennings | November 9, 2017 at 4:16 pm |

Nice vision indeed RM! Jadaveon Clowney would be my personal choice.

    • …lol..its only OK to attack Republicans in this reality, playing baseball, mowing a lawn, whatever. Besides Schumer is always surrounded by security, with Guns, while he makes speeches – to take Guns away from those who cannot afford a security detail. I am surprised Rand wasn’t carrying, whilst riding his lawnmower, bet he will now.

      • When a republican is the target, it’s not called assault, it’s called overzealous bonding.

      • Schumer carries too.

        • …maybe. He’s gotta be too slow on the draw, requires a bit of practice. I doubt he has any range time either. his security team probably only allows him one bullet. in his top pocket…(;

  27. FreeSpeechLand | November 9, 2017 at 1:34 pm |

Take away his medical license! This thug cannot be allowed to practice!

  28. Charged with misdemeanor assault? This is a clear case of felony aggravated assault and battery.

  29. Janet Galea | November 9, 2017 at 1:29 pm |

He did it. How can he plead not guilty? He really hurt Rand Paul.

    • A not guilty plea leads to a trial. With a guilty plea, the case goes directly to sentencing.

    • Vera Orsova | November 9, 2017 at 5:24 pm |

I was thinking the same. How can anyone plead not guilty, when his “opponent” has 6 broken ribs and some fractures? What would he have to do to plead guilty? But then, you look at any TV program and they tell you that “battering nd assaulting Trump supporter is not only acceptable, but commendable”. Disgusting.

  30. My questions. Why is it a felony to attack a police officer but only a misdemeanor to attack a Senator?

    • Under federal law it can be either, leaning heavily toward felony based on the injuries. Someone is doing the attacker a favor so he won’t loose his voting rights.

  31. I think Rand or his designated hitter should be allowed to break at least 5 of this guy’s ribs, and call it even. I’m quite surprised this violent crime is only a misdemeanor.

  32. He’s a Doctor? What kind,,,, an abortion Dr? Veterinarian ? Proctologist?

  33. In the picture the guy (Rene) looks like he has a serious attitude problem!

    • DMAforFreedom | November 13, 2017 at 9:35 am |

Thought the same thing, nose tilted up and that don’t mess with me look. Hateful is what it is. My Mother would have told me to remove that look or she would.

  34. Another reason why dueling must be returned to fashion. Or ‘tit-for-tat’ anyway; it’s now Paul’s turn.

  35. democrat CockRoach | November 9, 2017 at 12:37 pm |

Let me guess, it had to do with money. He either ran out of opiods to drug his customers or just found out he’ll no longer be able to scam barrycare.

  36. I don’t agree with what this guy did but I understand it. Rand Paul is a cocky two faced wannabe conservative who is out for his own interests and has his own agenda.

    • Oh, okay. As long as you only “understand” it whatever the hell that means.

    • No one ever has the right to initiate physical violence. In defense of self, others, or property, yes. But not for his job. That’s the main difference between conservatives and democrat national socialist party members.

  37. You dont attack someone, break six ribs because he started his Lawnmower….This guy is obviously a Lilly White Liberal Progressive and hates that he has a Staunch Conservative Senator living next door, and that we control the house, the senate and the White House. NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS……….. MY GLUTIUS MAXIMUS!!!

  38. Same height, same build.
    Hmmm…am still puzzled and bewildered.
    What was it all about?
    Can anyone hazard a guess?

  39. Rene Boucher = another Jew

  40. The charges are WAY too light for the injuries the enraged violent criminal moron caused. The attacker must be a country club and golfing pal of the DA and judge.

    • He’s one of the privilege class. They don’t want him losing his voting rights by being a felon. (I wonder if his name has been entered in NICS yet?)

  41. Not guilty!!

I merely tackled him from behind, its the ground that broke his ribs.

  42. Wake up Sheeple | November 9, 2017 at 11:52 am |

    Violent liberal…. What a shocker

  43. Correct me if I’m wrong but did he not tell the Police he had done this?
    Wheres the gray area?

  44. Disgusted Citizen | November 9, 2017 at 11:49 am |

Six broken ribs is a Misdemeanor? What’s a felony in Kentucky? A crushed skull and near death? Some street justice is needed for this POS.

  45. michaelparsons | November 9, 2017 at 11:47 am |

So the penalty for assault and battery on a sitting Senator is ?

  46. So dumb… Rand identified you… so he’s lying now?

  47. Lol he thinks he’s not guilty. Who did it then? His evil twin? Its my understanding the guy is a flaming liberal, so even if he denies a political motive, its political. Mr. Pauls neighbors stated in another article that there is no HOA/property violation.

  48. He pleads not guilty yet his attorney says it has nothing to do with politics but a regrettable dispute? LoL

  49. I hate the word alledged…..if he did it and there were witnesses ….then he did it.

  50. Haylan Fraser | November 9, 2017 at 11:14 am |

Okay, so what really happened, Mr. Boucher? Still don’t understand the charge when Senator Paul has that extreme injuries.

  51. “Boucher’s lawyer said the incident has nothing to do with politics, and instead called it “a regrettable dispute between neighbors.”” …but Boucher is claiming not guilty… because Rand Paul started it by mowing his lawn. LMAO
